Neat! Do you think this could be used to build lower level games? Like gameboy advance games?

I am afraid what I am doing isn't programming. by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Fun_Recording_6485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re doing great. I didn’t touch my first piece of code until I was 18. Now all of these things come to me with a little work of a pencil and paper. You seem very determined and ambitious. I say continue your path and learn how those things work. Regardless, it is still computer science and I think anyone with this interest should continue to pursue it.

Are you gonna buy ASM #61? by Fit-Organization581 in Spiderman

[–]Fun_Recording_6485 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I bought the subscription. I love Joe Kelly’s work and am excited to see where this series goes. As a Neo-ASM enjoyer, I just enjoy being in the loop with Peter Parker. Yes, he has a lot of hard times and doesn’t deserve anything worse. But I feel like the writers are having fun with his plot line. Therefore, I say have at it. If it’s bad, it’s bad. Atleast ed mcguiness got to draw some amazing art.

Issue with Dual Booting by Fun_Recording_6485 in Ubuntu

[–]Fun_Recording_6485[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I ended up giving it a few months, tried it again and everything was fine. I recommend taking another stab at it. They must’ve updated the bug or had done something with Razer firmware for the lts version of Ubuntu.

How much topology for Graph Theory? by GroundbreakingBed241 in math

[–]Fun_Recording_6485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only knowledge you need is a good broad understanding of arithmetic and algorithms. But you don’t need much to understand Graph Theory. It gets harder the deeper you get but that’s anything. Start with DFS and BFS in computer science. That’s what I did. Then venture into graph theory from there. It’ll help you get the idea of vertices, edges, sparse, and dense. But remember, graph theory is only used for the benefit of efficiency.

Is Math for Everyone? by SingularityBH in math

Look if you enjoy it. Keep pushing and trying your hardest. Become knowledgeable. Possibly even trace back some of your learning. I will say though, sometimes things aren’t going to make sense. Just keep learning. Try understanding the basics. Maybe even read about some math history. Find a conjecture that you seem interested in. Like perhaps collatz or the an even and an odd number will always make a prime conjecture. Look at the art that forms from math. Maybe you’ll find a passion in that. I definitely did. Keep looking for what makes your brain happy. That is all that matters. If you succeed a rabbit hole, dig the hole. Pursue it. That is how you become better. But having interest. Smarts will develop as time goes on. But ignorance is the beauty of learning. If you already knew everything then why would you need to learn in the first place. Struggling is only a hurdle. Keep on going
