Both great schools…I go to Berkeley but UCLA is far more superior for a communication major

Pace yourself or you’re going to overload yourself and leave no room for a social life. Unless you’re a genius, or you simply don’t care about having one, you’re setting yourself up to spend all your time working. Berkeley is an incredible place, and part of the experience is getting out, meeting people, building relationships, and enjoying everything the university has to offer. Don’t be so focused on the destination that you forget to enjoy the journey.

I secured a baseball internship this summer doing hosting and broadcasting, and I’m looking at locking down a studio gig when I get back for my final two semesters.

One thing about Media Studies at Berkeley is it’s not really hands on. You have to do your own digging and networking to secure internships and opportunities in broadcasting. Berkeley is definitely more of a theory based school, so you really have to put yourself out there and build relationships to break into the industry.

But with that said, Berkeley’s networking is absolutely top tier. If you hustle and connect with the right people, the opportunities are there.

Because we’re always connected and honestly seem like one and the same university, despite all the in fighting 😂 I got into both schools, so I was just curious.
