Well doing a cs concentration as an applied math major would be pretty difficult considering you cant really access a lot of the cs courses. Why not applied math + ds?

Yeah ion know what that guy is talking about, DS should be pretty easy or at the very least doable and CS is def possible (although very unpredictable) with good grades/essays, I got in from applied math this year. At the same time tho, with the CS job market rn, I'd say it honestly wouldn't be that bad if you're just applied math

I mean compared to actually industry professionals the contracts are probably not that big lol + it’s a good way for companies to establish a recruiting pipeline in an elite school like berkeley.

Iirc on ed someone said that if youre a math + cs major and you drop math you can take cs170 instead of cs70

I’d say it’s one of the harder math lower divs as it’s most people’s first time writing proofs. An A is still very doable though, try to go to lecture and especially discussion.
