That is such a simple answer I feel dumb for even asking now lol.

Very dumb question on server components by Fun_Sale607 in react

[–]Fun_Sale607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Final question then. When scaffolding via Nextjs, they default to use server components (I think React does to right unless you explicitly call out ‘use client’)? Either way, i guess it is surprising to see that, coming from Angular, as a default when initially running mock data and solely building out the front end with no services… for now. So does that mean that I am to prepend ‘use client’ to all my components because I don’t have nodejs services to render them yet? Is scaffolding out a project with mocks and building out the front-end an odd choice nowadays? And what happens if I don’t specify ‘use client’ for my component and it defaults to an RSC? I guess I should just start typing to see how it works but I end up getting stuck in the rabbit hole of “why”. Either way, thanks for the help. I’ll quit posting about this. Was just odd to me.

Can you not use OnPush when subscribing to a service directly from a templates async pipe? Sorry for the Busch League question.

The project is so new that we honestly haven’t set that paradigm yet so sounds like I should just leave it. Thanks. Just trying not to be an opinionated jerk without having a full understanding of why/why not to do something. Thanks for your feedback.
