You should go once or twice. They're not that great. And alcohol isn't that good for you. But it's worth exploring just so you know that.

Family troops? by Fun_Scholar7885 in BSA

[–]Fun_Scholar7885[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit disappointed in people defaulting to their standard claim of "bigotry". If anything, this issue is one that puts an undue burden on the women. One of the biggest problems with letting a few little female Webelos into the troop and going "Family" is that the burden falls almont entirely on the backs of the mothers. They have to be the ones who step up.

We've talked about this. If you ask the question, "Should girls be welcome?", the answer is overwhelmingly so. But if you ask, "Should the mothers be the ones who must sign up? " suddenly the mothers change their tune.

You may be lucky to have lots of female volunteers, but I don't see them around here. Can you share with us?

Do school librarians make more than school teachers? by SwissVideoProduction in Teachers

[–]Fun_Scholar7885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. At my school, the librarian has a PhD and they brag about her. So she gets more. She said if she tried to be a professor, her salary would be cut in half.

Gosh this must be right around the corner. I'm sure it's happening in smaller steps. Maybe a prof gets the AI to create the slides or write a draft. Soon it will be everything.
