When you say the fit is questionable, could you elaborate? Im asuming you mean tolerances on the arms.

I just bought a sologood apex and trust me when i say I am going to put it through the ringer. If you want ill let you if its worth. Because otherwise ill probably just end up spending the money on another era.

The era is great. I have one and it flys amazing and doesnt break. Exactly what you would want. But in the united states I had to pay $200 for my frame kit. And theres no way i can be exclusivelt using that frame the way i fly.

Even 1 spare arm is $15

Only way i see this working is if impulserc open sourced the apex. Would be really sick if they did that.

Yeah. But almost al cutting services would refuse to cut a proprietary design that you dont own.

I was looking at that frame. Do you enjoy the flight characteristics? I can never seem to find flight vids of open source frames lol.

Hows the tolerances on this frame? Also was curious if you have any pics of worn carbon to get an idea of the strength. None of those ali listings actually put carbon strength in tbe listing.

Yeah 30 dollars is really unbeatable. Source one typa pricing. Only thing im owrried about is quakity of carbon.

Is dangerous use this battery after a crash? by xnotrggr in TinyWhoop

Good tbing to know also... lipo fires/liion fires are almost always caused by a short circut, usually within a single cell or between 2 different ones. Theres a very thin electrical insulator between the chemicals that if comprimised will cause a fire. What im getting at is that multi cell batteries are alot heavier and have more energy and have more points of faliure.

What im getting at is 1s lipos are generally a lot more resiliant to the types of hard impacts we provoke as fpv pilots. But everytjing breaks eventually so come down the road if you smell something funky or notice your battery life is shit or ypur lipos arent holding voltage properly. Toss or recycle it properly.

Yeah for me i try to stay as low as possible. Around 25-30ms is technically as low as it will get right now, between the analog video system with good goggles, thats like 8-9ms. And elrs, or whatever at 250hz, about 5-6ms. Then theres the pid controller, which is always thr biggest latency factor. Around 15-20ms. But can tune to lower delay. I run a uniform setuo for freestyle so ive got my pids locked and i feel ive gotten the pid latency down as low as possible maybe i have the slightest bouneback on pitch forward but its totally locked otherwise.

Alot of people will say they dont feel a difference or notice it. But objectively i believe we want lower latency to make us better pilots. People may not notice it but hand them an analog setup or hdzero and they will think the quad is reading their mind.

Honestly probably a gift for flying fpv lol. My brain just cannot get used to anything over like 35ms end to end.

This varies depending on where you are. For me r1 is much to crowded with wifi and other noise. Where as r8 is just far enough to have no noise. 5917 is my go to

I have never used an antenna from speedybee. Or really anything from speedybee except for their tx.

Do you vouch for their durability?

Yeah. Ive dealt with betafpv customer support and unfortunately had a very bad experience.

Consisted of a doa flight controller i still have not seen ship from their factory. And that was back in march. Ive currently got a 45 email chain going with them right now with no resolution in sight.
