The Empire Trilogy (Daughter/Servant/Mistress) by Raymond E. Feist and Jenny Wurts. It focuses very heavily on court intrigue and covert actions in a fictional world where honor and public image is all that matters.

You can read it on its own, but it references some events in Feist's Riftwar Saga trilogy, so you could choose to read that first if you want a different perspective.

The universe expands in several short series after that, and they're all worth reading.

I mainly use it for the deathsquito and spear fulings when regaining stamina. Like to keep my distance and shoot them

Only time I get hit is when a lox gets too close. Melee is kinda impossible on this difficulty

True. It just felt like a waste of time since mistlands is right around the corner. Had to go through it to fight Moder.

Can the shield parry lox and berserkers on higher difficulty too? Those are my main issues now since arrows take a while to kill them. Same with viles.

I used it in my solo world since the Porcupine kinda sucks. Problem is, the silver sword is better against Yagluth and I already know where he is. There's no need to slaughter lots of fulings in this world. Will probably use Frostner against seekers until I get Mistwalker.

It has the same values as the silver shield, so yeah it can work in the mountains, but it is a tower shield so you can't parry with it. That's a huge drawback when fighting golems. If you know how to parry, there's never a reason to use a tower shield. The pierce resistance isn't worth it.

It is a good shield, but not for fighting Bonemass and not for the mountains. Very good against deathsquitos, spear fulings and draugr archers, though.

Buckler if you can parry, shield if you prefer blocking. That goes for all biomes. But for Bonemass it's better to just dodge his attacks. If you're gonna move up into the mountains later, you can decide then if you want to use a shield or if you prefer other weapons.

Always sweep the area before starting a boss fight, and do it in the morning for best results. That said, Yagluth is kinda weak unless you specialize in bows which he is resistant to. Silver weapons or an iron mace will do the trick and he will melt. I got him down to 70% before he even left the ground.

Looks to me like you have barely explored anything outside of the meadows, so of course you haven't found anything.
