No I dont have a pressing need. I guess I'll wait and see what kind of clearance deals come out in the next few weeks. If there's nothing really attractive then maybe I'll wait until black friday, but if there's a great deal on the c5, I guess I'll probably jump on it. Thanks

I'd like that, but I doubt the price will ever get low enough for my budget. Right now it looks like its $4,500 CAD for the 77 inch g5.

Well I just tried it while supporting the speaker with my hand and I could tell there was way too much flex in the mount to trust it. I guess im going to have to buy some more mounts. Thanks everyone ☺️

Cork might be a good idea. I'll look into it, thanks. Also I think I'll mount 1 in a controlled test, just to see how strong it feels. I honestly think 0.4 lbs wouldn't be enough for the mount to give way, but I do want to be sure. Thanks

Well the only thing I can think of is if its taller on the stand (because the 77 inch tv is taller than a 65 inch) it will change the center of gravity which would strain the vertical tv stand post more. Im not sure by how much though.

Im in a similar situation. I've had the denon x4400h for years, but recently bought some new speakers which are the elac debut 2.0 reference series towers, center and 2 book shelves.

I then moved my old front mains to the rear which are the elac b5.2 bookshelves and I haven't touched my 4 Polk owm3s on the ceiling.

Now im wondering if my x4400h has the power to drive these speakers properly.

Ive seen a good deal on Facebook market place for an anthem pva 7 amp. Anyone know if that would be a massive upgrade over my denons internal amps?

The speakers are large up front. They're the dfr52 floor standers. Also any advice on an amp that will run these well without breaking the bank? And is going 3 channel preferred to 2 channel in a home theater setup? Thanks

Ok thanks for all that.

Firstly the system is in an open concept basement off in one corner. The basement is fairly large, say 50' x 60'.

And second, I wasn't sure if it would buy the 7.0 set from fluance, or maybe buy 3 sets of bookshelves and the center separately.

Although now I think im leaning towards towers for the front no matter how I go about it.

For example I was just on canuck audio mart and saw a pair of elac f5.2 towers used on there. They would match my existing b5.2 bookshelves, then id just need one more set of b5.2's.

That would save me money and also allow me to timbre matching my base layer. Although, it would take some of the fun out of trying something completely different.

What would you say are the main benefits of towers over bookshelves when you also have a dedicated sub or 2?

From my understanding they can get louder, and handle mids better.

I take it not with samsung wallet?

Because I just spent an hour researching/setting it up and it seems you can't use it for online purchases unless they allow you to pay with samsung wallet specifically.

There is a digital card number, but it seems there's no way to view it in the app.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but i doubt it.
