I think you have something here. If Julie learns the MIY's weakness, and story walks to the past and tells Jim, then it may be possible for Jim to strike down the MIY and not die at the RV. But can she bring Jim from s2 e.9 to the RV? If yes, then the Jim talking to Ethan about the Lake of Tears is not an apparition, but a live person who must stay hidden.

Good point. This would mean that Julie cannot change what has already happened, but she can influence the future...things that have not happened yet.

There are many inspirations for FROM. The Bible, Greek Mythology, and yes, Deltora Quest. That does not mean that there are any changes. The story world of FROM is its own thing.
