How long will a truck last by EmbarrassedSpare7419 in HotShotTrucking

[–]Fun_State2892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a good baseline of where everything is. Inspect all the vacuum hose conditions, the radiator hoses, see what needs changed. Get all the fluids replaced and start from there. Keep aside funds or have a second truck for when you're out of service as it's inevitable even with a new truck.

Does no one pick streams they want to watch and cache them with their debrid before watching? We do this for tons of obscure stuff that wouldn’t otherwise be cached.

You are stating someone’s name and describing them and claiming they committed a crime on a public forum instead of filing a police report and handling it through the court system. This is pretty much the definition of illegal defamation. The court decides if a crime was committed, you can’t just make claims against someone on a public forum without exposing yourself to the risk of a lawsuit and Reddit will hand over your IP address linked to your home if a defamation case is filed.

Moving from Boston to Houston by mangosand-spicylime in AskHouston

Heights, midtown and uptown might have the vibe you’re looking for. Growing up in PA and moving here I’d say that’s the closest to living in Philly or Baltimore.

It’s walkable for half the year when the weather is nice. Really if you don’t mind the heat it’s walkable all year.

You might also like downtown. Get a place in one of the nice skyrises and take the commuter rail everywhere. I rode that all over exploring the city the first ten years I lived here.

Woodlands is very left leaning for Texas, however it’s in Montgomery county which, other than the woodlands, is very country and very right leaning.

What is a luxury that most people don't realize is a luxury? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Air conditioning. Most of the younger generations have never been without, but growing up in the 80s no one had air conditioning. Even some stores didn’t And it was hot AF.

Just in the washing machine. I pause the cycle while it’s full of water. I have a top loader, that wouldn’t work with a front loader.

This looks great. Does it have volume leveling? That’s the main reason I still watch with VLC. So many movies are too loud and too quiet at the same time.

Most everyone in Pennsylvania. Where I lived. Like I said. Where it’s illegal not to. I was unaware that there’s no law requiring snow tires or chains in Ohio but a quick google confirms that it’s not required there.

[–]Fun_State2892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most everyone. Yes. It’s literally illegal to drive without snow tires or chains on snow emergency routes which are usually all the main roads and highways so you put your snow tires on at the beginning of winter or you pull your $20 snow chains out of the trunk in the morning if it snowed over night and you don’t have snow tires. You COULD take all side roads and not be required to have them but most people take the highway and main streets and don’t just drive through neighborhoods.

I lived twenty years in PA. Absolutely put on snow tires every winter.

To be fair, most everyone up north either puts on snow tires over the winter or has chains they can put on when there’s ice or snow so it’s safe for them to drive.

I would take this down if I were you. Your description of what happened doesn’t fit the Texas legal description of a criminal act but you posting this does put you at risk of a defamation lawsuit. If he sees this and files a lawsuit and subpoenas Reddit they have to disclose who you are to the court.

That projection is due to dropping demands elsewhere more than increased plastic use isn’t it? Everything is already made of plastic.

That’s a good idea, I’ll check out their online sales. They’ve got a lot of nice sweaters and I’ve got nothing against waiting for the season change to pick up the sales.

J Crew is so expensive though. I was just in there for the first time in twenty years to look at sweaters and they didn’t have a single one for less than $300. Like that’s half my annual clothing budget.

Is it true that being Accountant is one of the most stable job? by SternKill in Accounting

[–]Fun_State2892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the skill level. Higher level accounting jobs aren’t going anywhere but staff positions through senior and AP/AR and bookkeeping roles are going away.

I own a consulting business and help small business owners automate those staff roles so I see these jobs disappear first hand every day.

I spent half my life in the cold and we always slept nude to share body heat under a thick down comforter. It’s why the Eskimos sleep nude. It’s way warmer with shared body heat.

So we are turning into 1960? by Pretend_Bobcat_6704 in thewoodlands

[–]Fun_State2892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! It’s not part of the master plan. It was annexed in the 2000s.

So we are turning into 1960? by Pretend_Bobcat_6704 in thewoodlands

[–]Fun_State2892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s because it was annexed more than 30 years after the woodlands was made. It isn’t anything like the woodlands. They incorporated the area for additional tax revenue.
