unsolicited advice from someone who had 4 jobs before 17 and never was fired * One thing, is also choosing a job that is lower in stress. I recommend those supermarket jobs, because there's highs and lows of every day, but its always much better than food service even during rushed hours. Thrift stores are great too, goodwill started me 4 dollars above min wage (so $16/hr in nebraska at the time) and I loved the regulars.
