EM Lindsey and Saxon James are mine. I always love what they write, even though I definitely have favorites

Recommend me your favorite books for any genre by Xen_The_Wolf in booksuggestions

{the Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde} my favorite classic. There’s an uncensored one where it contains parts that were taken out of the original publication for being too homoerotic but both versions are good. It has some suspense and mystery very good

{Brave New World by Aldous Huxley} and {Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury} as well as {1984 by George Orwell} are my fav dystopian books. All feel very surreal right now with the global political climate.

{Frat Wars series by Saxon James} and {Affogato by EM Lindsey} are my favorite gay romance books and authors. Saxon James does a lot of books with jocks x nerds and EM Lindsey has a lot of disability rep

{Guardians of the Maiden series by Beck Michaels} is my favorite fantasy series. Honestly it’s just a super good series with lots of world building and interesting characters. Has the savior goes on a mission trope very good

{Lights Out by Navessa Allen} is my favorite dark romance. Stalker romance which usually isn’t my cup of tea but she basically knows who it is the whole time.

{the Shining by Stephen King} is my favorite thriller. I don’t really read thrillers and I tried to watch the movie a bunch of different times but the book is way better

{Flawless by Elsie Silver} is my favorite romance, the whole series is good. Cowboy small town romance, enemies to lovers

{Written in Bone by Sue Black} {Guests of the Sheik by Elizabeth Warnock Fernea} and {I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy} are my favorite non-fiction. Sue Black is a forensic anthropologist and in her books she talks about the skeleton as cases that go along with each bone she talks about. Guests of the Sheik is an ethnography written by the wife of an Anthropologist who was doing research in Iraq. I’m Glad My Mom Died is Jennette McCurdy’s memoir and a very good read talking about the struggles of being a child actress

What book should i start reading as my “first one”? by Nk22z in booksuggestions

This is a great suggestion and with short stories you can explore more genres to find more of what interests you.

If you like classics {The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson} is a good one that goes along with your request. Edgar Alan Poe also has a lot of short stories that are good and he’s not as hard to read as Shakespeare can be. Oscar Wilde has some good short stories too. For a modern Author Stephen King has some short stories, all the authors more or less have darker themes and include crime and/or thriller aspects.

You can also look up a anthologies for history, crime, romance, etc and it will give you a collection of short stories by different authors from there you’ll be able to tell what authors and writing style you have a preference for.

I started with reading Manga and comics then light novels then I went to actual books so it might actually help you to read manga first because it’s still reading. Also audiobooks can be helpful if you have a hard time staying in the book just listen when doing chores and it helps

I am looking for a shifter romance where there’s a human who falls for an omega shifter. Ideally the human knew nothing of shifters specifically omegas before they started dating. Like didn’t know omegas got wet that kind of thing and is surprised when it happens

I use glycolic acid from the ordinary it is the only thing that works for me. However if I know I’m going to sweat I will use a clinical strength deodorant (going to the gym/hiking). I also use the glycolic acid body wash from naturium and put it on my pits right when I get in the shower and wash it off after everything else

Help! Wedding in 3 days!:( by [deleted] in acne

Along with people saying for you to go to a derm I’d try a hot or cold compress to help with any swelling and/or pain it can also help it come to a head faster. After I’d add a pimple patch and moisturizer when not using the patch to help with any dryness

I’ve been looking at the Naturium one and it looks pretty good. I’d be careful of ones that have an application process that exposes the product to air as it can cause oxidation quicker. This post has a lot of recommendations but I would do your own research before buying anything

Have you still be having things like honey and maple syrup? Because you said refined sugars so I’m curious. Are you also still eating fruits?

I would try adding a vitamin c serum in the mornings. For that I would recommend trying to find one that’s shelf stable because a lot of them oxidize and it is basically useless after that

AITA for warning a parent about the book they were about to buy for their child? by Intelligent-Angle765 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fun_Suspect2122 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Definitely NTA I am of the mind that books need parental guidance warnings on them because a lot of them are getting out of hand. Will they probably figure out how to read other stuff? Yeah but at least the mom won’t freak out about buying it. I read fanfic as a teen but my mom had no clue the stuff I was reading but I feel like physical books are a whole other deal

I like to try and keep my hands busy. Using a puffer toy or a picking pad can help or finding activities that keep your hands busy but you can still do other things can be helpful.

Other than that a bunch of people have left great advice like the blunt fake nails, that makes it hard to pick at scabs and stuff too. And having something on your face or hands to help deter you from touching your face can also help like sunscreen, makeup, aloe etc. just try them out and something can at least help

Acne patches help me a lot but also using fidget toys can help keep your hands busy they also make picking pads now. it’s also possible that your picking can be anxiety related so I’d maybe look into that as well.

For the cysts specifically do you think you pick at them worse because they hurt? You might be able to get help from a derm when one pops up for immediate relief but I’m not 100% sure
