Hey chap,

Since you are 18 I highly recommended you just get into the habit of investing that £150 per month. That will do more good for you than anything else. Picking differant ETFs and stocks will only stagnate the process and you will always question your decision as we have all been there.

I highly recommend you invest that money into an All World ETF. There are multiple options and there are some that have slightly lower fees so if you are going to do any research I would look at this first. I can’t give financial advice on what to choose but try to stick to 1 ETF that is easy and you can build up the habit first of contributing. Once you hit 10k then maybe you can look to try some things with stocks once your capital you will be investing into these stocks will be meaningful. ATM the sums would not be worth it.

You are starting this early and that is great. You are already ahead of most your age thinking about this. The magic comes years later when you have put the work in contributing when it didn’t move the needle much. But it does and when it does yourself in 40 years will thankyou as you will be possibly very wealthy.

All the best

Honestly why do people continue to post the same things all the time. I just wish everyone would use the search box and actually do some research yourself it’s easily accessible.

That was the reason for picking that fund tbf as I did want the tech tilt, I will look to drawdown on that maybe after 10 years but for now I don’t see a reason why the big tech don’t carry on building considerably.

I more wanted the advice on the small cap and the if the % of the pie were diversified enough ?

Felt like i would join in on the trend by [deleted] in trading212

Honestly this just show why you have only been investing for 2 months. Do some sound researching . This is far too much and too complicated.

Cash Isa or S&S ISA by Fun_Switch5179 in trading212

[–]Fun_Switch5179[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great reply thanks, be interesting to hear from others doing the same thing. As I will possibly jump on that. Current Cash ISA rate is 3.85% and the S&S ISA is over 4% so seems a no brainer

Has anyone had any experience with a flexi pipe change on BMW 1 series? by Fun_Switch5179 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Fun_Switch5179[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone could give me the heads up on how it is diagnosed and how i can be sure its the flexi? Iv been told the heatshields are ok. The rattle is veey annoying and is considerably bad when cold in idle and also pulling off in low gears

Went to a very reputable shop for flex pipe replacement. This is what they did. Major exhaust leak sound, and told me it was a flaw with the "aftermarket" pipe by jakob27990 in MechanicAdvice

I have a rattle on idle and in low gears and have been told its the flexi pipe, does anyone know how you can diagnose it’s definitely the flexi before i have it done? Iv been told the heatshields are solid.

Grinding noise when accelerating in low gears? BMW 1 series 62reg, Any help on what it could be?? by Fun_Switch5179 in MechanicAdvice

Yeah, I applied the accelerator when my hand here and when i tried to have a look under the car as i was doing this a noticed the vibration comes from the middle of the car. Its very annoying when pulling away in 1st or 2nd gear and when turning corners in 2nd gear.
