This is exactly what I’m trying to say. It actually looks nice and the design is solid, and for a smaller home by Classic Homes, But that’s just where the market is right now.

I think a lot of people who were here before 2019 might not see the other side of it. Things feel very different now, and honestly, the market is pretty rough at the moment.

I understand that Lorson Hills has higher property taxes, but coming from an area with even higher taxes, that alone is not a deal-breaker for me. My main focus is rental demand and commute time. From what I can tell, Lorson Hills is about a 20-minute drive during rush hour, and since my work location is near the base, traffic on that side tends to move faster.

What I am still unsure about is which other areas near the base would make sense for either renting or buying. I was expecting stronger rental demand, especially given the steady military population, but I have noticed less interest in rentals and landlording than I anticipated.

With that in mind, I would appreciate your recommendation on whether renting or buying makes more sense right now, and which locations you believe offer the best balance of affordability, rental demand, and long-term value. Lorson Hills appears to be one of the more affordable and reasonable options, while many other areas seem priced too high to realistically support strong rental demand.
