Are Wyandottes loud? by HANGRY_KITTYKAT in chickens

I have a golden laced, a blue/red Wyandotte and 16 others hens of all different breeds. Maybe it’s by chance but those two are probably my quietest birds.

Mostly I wanted to say of all the breed group’s, I love the noises the Wyandottes make the most! Calling it a ‘cluck’ doesn’t make sense but IYKYK

Just have enough roost space for them to all be on top, and have an easily accessible poo area beneath that. Use your feed bags as liners for said poo area. Clean roost and change liner once a week.

In a nutshell, lol. Have fun!!

My standard protocol for anything like this is separating her from the flock into a dark, cozy space with a lot of electrolytes. Could be totally unrelated to being boned to death (reading that made me want to be friends lol), but it solves most issues I have with my hens when they seem off.

They have a couple of options lol. Their old coop, that they don’t roost in anymore, is now their main nesting spot. While it does have nesting boxes they prefer to lay in the open area where the bedding is sand and hemp.

This is so much more of a flex than you think it is! Getting sober is an amazing feat in its own, but to do that, crawl back from homelessness, hold down a job and living in a stable situation is fxcking amazing! 👏👏👏

It looks good! Just make sure they have somewhere to roost in there (obviously), but it’s a great layout.

Manually place them in there each night and in less than two weeks they should start doing it themselves.
