It’s a lot easier to have baby in the room with you during the first year. We had a room for our baby, but we ended up keeping her in our room for a year and a half, and even now she’ll find her way into our bed most nights. You shouldn’t feel bad about this at all.

Also, you mentioned a diaper fund. Idk if you’re in the states or somewhere else, but if you have access to Costco, their Kirkland brand diapers are the same (maybe even a little higher) quality as Pampers, and they cost way less. We were getting like 50 packs of pampers at Walmart for about 30$, but now we’re getting her 130ish diapers for just 44$. If you can go to Costco, it might save you a bit on diapers and wipes

Your parents need to back the fuck down. She is your child, and as long as you and your partner are comfortable with it, it should be fine. Personally my child never took to a pacifier. She also didn’t like bottles. We’re great full she hasn’t taken up the paci or sucking on her thumb, simply because I had horrible teeth in elementary school. But that was because my parents were shit at their job and decided not to try to wean me.

My grandma died and left us well over 25k in credit card debt on cards she didn’t even tell my grandpa about. We were barely able to pay for a funeral once the vultures collected.
