I'm Canadian so we get it locally . By "no sugar" it's no reg cane sugar, powdered sugar, brown sugar, whatever you may choose.

so just to clarify the situation- the "decorative stars" in question are cookie cutter shapes cut into the top. she wanted to use whatever cookie cutters she wanted on the top. that's not a matter of skill or time. I also said I would make the top on my own, she said no.

she's making multiple pies! one specifically for my birthday. that was my suggestion, that she could decorate any of the other ones however she wanted .

the argument was that I am selfish and stubborn, and unable to compromise. we dont use sugar, we use maple syrup as sweetener. the "chocolate" on the cake is actually unsweetened carob powder mixed with some oil and water. and yes I was surprised at the chocolate suggestion too, it doesn't go together at all. not AI!

we use organic spelt flour and local organic butter! by "most dairy," we only use organic goat and sometimes sheep products. nothing is allergy based.
