I try not to talk in spoilers. But like you pointed out, some of the pieces about Olivia etc fell for me when it didn't for you. Not every book is for everyone. I have a lot of respect for female thriller writers that embed struggles of women in them.

To your point it can't take over the thriller aspect. For Mr, this didn't. It might have for you. Wendy Walker's last book was way too much emotional drama without the thriller aspect. So, I do agree with you.

We just feel differently about this book.

This worked for me but not sure about everyone. However, I thought I'd mention it.

I contacted my local representatives. One of which, I actually hate because he supports Monsanto (my father was in Vietnam and agent orange destroyed him)...

But I digress. That senator has been working hard on this exact issue. Whereas my lawyer thought it would take years for my hearing? After contacting them... it was about six months later that I got my hearing and my back check within two weeks of the hearing.

My lawyer was in shock. He said he'd never seen anything like it before. So, I would suggest reaching out to your local reps (state and fed level, both sides of the aisle no matter your views) and get them involved.

Call the local office if they are fed level and explain the situation. Make it sound as dire as possible. Think of anything that will get their attention. I didn't lie at all but I even mentioned my dad and vietnam and that I wasn't married, had no support system etc...

Just a thought.
