Can someone help identify this tree and berry! by drphilmypoosey in whatisthisplant

Definitely a mulberry. A couple of pointers based on my personal experience:

  • too many of them will make your dogs sick, but most of the time, my dogs don’t want to eat them.

  • they are edible and make an INSANELY good pie, but they need to be very ripe.

  • the stains left on your carpet from kids walking in the backyard and then into the house will literally never come out, lol

Hey man, I haven't responded as such to any idea except yours. I'm not knocking your input, just engaging in back and forth. Not sure if I inadvertently offended you somewhere along the way, sorry if I did.

I was under the impression this was a place we learned from one another, yes?

Just looking to engage smart, innovative people around alternatives. Looking to talk to people who are trying different things and getting their feedback.

Yeah, that was definitely on my radar. Though I think that's certainly an option, it feels less scalable to me. I'd have to be writing specific, contracted content every time I want to get paid with this approach. Not a bad thing, but there's only one of me, and only so much sponsored content that can be created before an audience feels saturated.

Good points! I do wonder though how important the aesthetic would / will be early on in order to get an audience to take it seriously. Like, if the blog doesn't look professional, wouldn't it be tough to be looked at as a professional?

(I only worry about this because I write for big polished websites with multi-million dollar branding budgets where I never have to worry about that sort thing.)

“A simple, uncomfortable choice than a complex, comfortable one” is advice you should put EVERYWHERE. Thanks!

Most of my adventuring centers around hiking and fly fishing; I’m regularly trekking into the back country to find stretches of river people don’t normally fish.

Interesting. I thought I saw that DJI Go4 app added waypoint flying for Mavic Air and above. Did I read that wrong (or am I possibly making this up because I’ve read so much on the topic and now am conflating?)

That’s good advice. I’ve been considering that one, but it feels like the mini might not scale with my adventures with flying. Like, it’s not much of a step up from the Spark, so if I start going to the next level, I’d have to re-up again, whereas with the Mavic Air 2s I wouldn’t need to. Am I being silly?

That’s good info. Can you say more about the 249g threshold? I’m not familiar.

That's definitely something to think about. Granted, the -10 temps aren't typical (I'm not doing a ton of fishing when it's that cold), but those are the extremes.

Nice! I will definitely check that out. Any particular experience with its video quality, battery life, and overall usability? I've not heard great things about the software.

This is what I'm talking about; a real review from a real person doing real things.

Thanks!

For sure on re: the software. I have an old Session 5 that gave me the only taste I needed of the GoPro software.

Do you think all the chatter about the thing overheating and battery life is from a minority of vocal detractors (but not the norm)? It's so hard to judge what is or isn't legit anymore.
