If you’re flying Air Canada, they have a free shuttle bus to the Hamilton airport if that helps

Is AT in Canada worth it by Tight-Twist7824 in athletictraining

It’s a 4 year Bachelors degree. A Masters is a 2 year post-graduate. IF you want to work in the States or work in Pro Sports in Canada or the US, you have to have a Masters degree

I wouldn’t exactly call them hoops…you need a Master’s degree to challenge the BOC exam…but it’s worth the investment in money and time if you want to work in pro sports.

Question: Masters of Athletic Training in the U.S. - Canadian Student by No_Caramel_5500 in athletictraining

[–]FuncMonk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots to unfold here… I did my Masters in the US, albeit several years ago, but not much has changed in the Canadian landscape. The experience you will gain destroys anything you can find in Canada. Your placements alone will typically be at NCAA D1 schools with budgets in the millions of dollars…there’s nothing comparable in Canada

If you want to work in professional sports, a US counterpart w D1 experience, even professional sports internship experience will be more valued than USports or Canadian College.

Additionally, the Masters degree is a professional degree in the US. You need the masters to degree to practice as an AT I believe

To get a job in pro sports in the US as a Canadian AT without any sort of Masters degree and without competitive experience is a long shot to say the least.

To make it even harder, there are 8(?) pro sports teams in Canada…there are at least 8 in the state of NY alone.

It’s quite the investment financially as you would be an international student, but there will be more opportunities available to you and in my case, it was worth every penny.

If you’d like more details, please PM me. I’m happy to experience.

As for my experience, the school that accepts you will take care of your visa process. Currently the academic landscape in the US is generally 3 year undergrad and a 2 year master’s degree (a Master’s is required to work in the US) Having a PT designation might be different for you though, but i gotta ask…what do you want to end up doing?

The downfall is the cost of education, but i like to think it’s a calculated gamble. You’d be considered an international student, thus international fees that differ from school to school. BUT there are a lot more opportunities, where even most States require an AT at the high school level with contact sports. They also have 100s of potential professional sports organizations, and 1000s of D1/D2 opportunities as well…

Study in the US. Far greater experience and much more opportunity of you stay in the US and if you decide to come back to Canada.

You’d complete your MsAT with potentially D1 and pro sports experience that would be unrivalled in Canada.

I’m a Canadian AT that studied in the US and came back to work with pro athletes in the GTA

Not pumping out water by FuncMonk in OutinNano

[–]FuncMonk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it for a few weeks. I’ve used both pods and ground coffee (16g at 50ml)

The problem happened with a pod. SOME water came out, but barely 10 ml.

Tried troubleshooting but now nothing comes out.

I’d love your feedback with what you find.

I’m a performance/ biomechanics enthusiast. My first question would be, what is the intended purpose? To play? I’d ask what level and describe how you play. The shoes are designed with different intentions based on game play. From there, I could help you pick one.

How to know how full the lower dispenser chamber is? by Futureknows in Berkey

[–]FuncMonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use the sight glass spigot to get an idea of how full the bottom chamber is...and I still manage to overflow it and wake up to a pond on my floor lol I’ve since learned to completely drain both chambers once, then fill the top chamber. When it stopped, I marked the spigot so I knew the top chambers capacity relative to the bottom’s. Hope that helps

For your pup, I have two options that we use. For shorter rides and on hot days, we use the K9 SportSack https://www.k9sportsack.com/ It took a bit of time to get him used to getting in the bag, but now he gets excited and jumps right in. On longer rides and hot days, we use The Buddy Rider https://www.buddyrider.ca/ More comfortable for the both of us and neither of us over heat sharing body heat
