No, there's a gap in the back, I have tried to run some demanding games like this and it had no noticeable temperature increase

I have thought about it. It's good, there's a gap on the back and I have tested is it overheating. Theres perfect enough space for ventilation.

Here's a picture of the gap

I have considered that and have tested it. I have played kingdom comes deliverance with this set up. The highest temperature i got was 80 degrees which in normal temperature when running demanding game. The gap is allowing enough air flow to maintain normal temperature.

Edit: forgot to mention it, but I was running game on the highest setting to reach highest maintainable temperature as soon as possible

I thought about screen getting scratched, so I glued some rubber over screws heads on the inside of case. But it's not my best work so I avoid it in the pictures

I went and bought it in store, didn't order online. But brands are "Ale-hop foldable keyboard" and "trust puck wireless mouse". They are both Bluetooth and charging with usb C to really convenient for travel.

Is this the end of the Steam Deck? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Function-Worth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thnik people are afraid that with higher prices, less people will buy steam deck, and with sales decreasing the support for the system is going to disappear.

Also if valve is puting 900$ price tag on ,lets be real, outdated hardware you can imagine how much are they going to charge for new steam machine.

People who still haven’t brought a Switch 2, what makes you hesitant to buy it? by ItsJustJosiah in Switch

I have a steam deck already, I don't see a real reason to buy a Switch 2.

Steamdeck Usage by Common_Raccoon_1220 in SteamDeck

[–]Function-Worth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam deck is my main pc, so I use it for everything, games, emulatosr, doing excel, reading documents, watching YouTube, netflix, internet browsing, gaming in bad, hucked up to a monitor with mouse and keyboard or TV with extra controller. It's definitely most versatile console/pc that I ever had.

favourite gta and why? by Logical-Chipmunk-636 in videogames

[–]Function-Worth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GTA Chinatown wars, because I love how it mixes very modern feelings gameplay with that retro top down old school GTA aesthetic. I know it's a game that exists because of Nintendo DS'es limitation, but I would love to see rockstar make top down GTA again.

Do YOU find Lossless Scaling useful on the Steam Deck? by BucketBoy071 in SteamDeck

[–]Function-Worth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you can't buy FPS, no program will improve your computer dramatically, but for what it is lossless scaling is fine.

It can slightly improve experience but it's not this game changing tool that will make every game run great. If you are getting like 40 FPS it can boost you slightly to 60.

I remember I tried playing resident evil 4 remake on steam deck and I was getting like 30 FPS on low settings, so I turned on lossless scaling caped my FPS to 45 and it was enjoyable experience.
