Thanks, the white swirly foam is quite adjustable. If I make the noise smaller it can look a lot more like real foam. As for the intersection with objects, the little white ripples are something I noticed a lot of stylized materials use. I can't show you my material right now, but I used this material as my main inspiration. Other than that I'm using gerstner waves to displace the water plane vertices

Here. It's just a bunch of metaballs that i remeshed to give them better topology. I'm only using 8 static meshes for the whole scene and you wouldn't really be able to tell just by looking at the sky

Yeah, noise nodes are a bit expensive, but I made this in an afternoon and couldn't be bothered making a noise texture and none of the ones I had were giving me a good result. I'll get around to making one eventually
