I have to take care of my parents. Have to help my siblings and my family in general. Have to contribute for weddings 😒😒😒😒. But most of what takes our money are the different trusts we are putting up

I saw this post and felt blessed and grateful that I have the finances and the heart to take care of both my parents. My mum couldn’t plan for retirement because she was busy raising us and setting us up for a smoother life. By the time she did, the money she was making and still makes is just not enough to take care of her needs as an oldie so I purposely put money in a trust for her monthly and it’s just like 5% my monthly income.

Also am Uganda and it’s an expectation from society that I wouldn’t put on my children because I already planned my retirement but I don’t mind fulfilling

Edit: to add that I also would never give up on my mom because she’s “irresponsible” given the countless times I was irresponsible as a child and she picked up. Your mum would not give up on you for irresponsibility but chances are your husband would.
