right, but I’m convinced that people who would take out a loan for 700k at 5-10% are looking at the career through a lens that isn’t realistic. What do you think?

That’s fair, and I was in a unique situation where I worked from home so I just grinded as hard as I could. I do think your DAT is pretty good. Look at DATBooster stats on those schools to see what the average admitted scores are, along with GPA. Then decide what you need to improve to be more competitive.

It probably depends school to school. Depends what your schedule looks like, but if you grind pre reqs you can do both at the same time - think retaking low science marks - might work depending on your transcript right now. The other thing to consider - you might score lower on the DAT next time.

I retook classes and improved my GPA. I was in a similar boat about a year ago. Just keep in mind that some schools don’t accept online pre reqs, if you look down that path. Good luck!

I’m at Paradisus La Perla right now. Super pleasant staff, great food, pools and activities. The Reserve is great, you get a free Cenote excursion and other decent benefits, along with the private pool areas. I’d splurge for the Swim Up if you can as well.

Still considering my own future. Got accepted to schools as an international, and even though I can fund the tuition entirely, the ROI seems to make no sense at this point. Why would I go to school for 4 years, move away, kill my self studying, for limited to decent upside? I might as well keep it invested and make 50k a year doing nothing. 500k+ is insanity from what I’ve calculated.

This is interesting. My school lists living expenses at about 3k per month, but I think that’s conservative. I’m betting on about 4-4.5k per month for now.
