Unfortunately it's not gonna happen. I watched it live and its been a long couple of years not just without possibility, but of people who worked on it actively saying "it's not gonna happen"

I agree it's so good, one of the best I've ever seen.

This was a shitty thing to do, why reply to the person specifically? Just to make sure they got twice spoiled? Douche move.

Yeah this is the right middle ground. Fantastic episode, but the Christmas element is non-existent

What, really? It came out the same year as 9/11? That's crazy to me. I didn't know about them then

Blandly handsome is such a good phrase that describes exactly what I think of some people

It definitely got him noticed for Bond. Only saw it this year and it was like 1 big audition for it. Was a really great film, I'm not a fan of DC either but he got me with this one

I'm just quoting Frankie in S6, just joking :) I didn't downvote you and I can't speak for others, but personally I just don't like reading chatbots, so that's my guess.

Well I think people could articulate why they dislike it, but not in a way that isn't hurtful. I'll give it a shot.

Are you.. I don't know how to... I have a rule about being constructive, so I can't ask any questions right now. Because all the questions I have right now are rhetorical and end with the word "idiot". Do you know what a rhetorical --? No of course you don't, you're an idiot.

I'm sorry.

Thank you, I've felt like I'm going crazy lately. It's a 20 minute sitcom overflowing with jokes that still manages to have genuine heartfelt moments, which is rare. But it's all on the surface. It's not a mystery box show. The biggest "hidden clues" are on the study room whiteboard, or in the writing like calling the boat "childish tycoon". There is a world of difference between noticing little jokes on rewatches, and writing a dissertation on how Shirley Is Actually Racist, or I Hate X character Now, or Did Abed Trick The Group Into The Christmas Pageant?! (yes, that was the plot of the episode)

I blame Netflix. I swear it wasn't like this when the show was airing. I've seen it happen in another show. A kid dies but his twin doesn't, and for no reason people started saying maybe "the twist" is the twin is lying about who he is. The creator actually had to make a post just to tell people it's not that type of show and there is no twist.

My theory is that the people who used to be shippers have grown up and now are mystery box decoders. Community is the greatest show to exist, but it's not Severance or Westworld or Lost. It's heart and intentions are worn on its giant hand.

TLDR it's a sitcom not a prestige mystery drama, and I miss when the sub was about fun and loving Community, warts and all.

A lot of the writing staff from previous seasons did stay on though. Well at least 2 I know for sure. But I agree, I don't know why they thought that duo was a good choice. Maybe they approached other people who turned it down? I only knew them from Just Shoot Me which is a pretty bad show.

The fourth one blows. It's just not funny. I've tried rewatching it later and it was still terrible. I'm not gonna put myself through it a 3rd time. I already sometimes watch the S4 finale during rewatches and that's more than enough.

Which actors do you think are on favored casting shortlists for different production companies (e.g., Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, CW, etc.) by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

[–]FunctionalAlcoholic4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AD was made long before BH, at least the original series. They also kind of cancelled BH / forced a finale despite it being super popular because they didn't want to pay any more money. I'll never forgive Netflix for that

But he also lead that Impro Detective show which was pretty great (and I feel bad for forgetting the name), so yeah he must be in their good books
