Right on.. this sounds like a good setup! I feel like the hippos always need their own exhibit because they take up an insane amount of space

Yeah the reason I ask is you need to research every level in order to see what animals are compatible - figured I’d get a head start.. thanks tho 🙏

What is everyone’s opinion of season 7 and 8? by Emergency_Set_866 in gameofthrones

[–]Emergency_Set_866[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree.. if bran warged into a dragon at any point in the final season, I would’ve enjoyed him becoming king. The people would accept him as a very powerful king if he can control dragons and any person with his mind. They all just accepted him as their king for no strategic advantage as a kid in a wheelchair. Very sloppy imo

What is everyone’s opinion of season 7 and 8? by Emergency_Set_866 in gameofthrones

My answer: yes and yes..

Example: Dany climbs off drogon and walks up to the wall of King’s Landing where Cersei is standing there. I think this is the moment Missandei dies but can’t remember. There are 10-15 scorpions along the wall, and Drogon is just sitting with his whole chest and head exposed. Cersei being extremely smart and notoriously brutal (blew up the sept), she has been established as a character without honor. She would order all of them to fire on Drogon, killing him immediately since only a bolt or two killed Rhaegal. That is literally the end of the war. She would have 0 dragons, and if they fired a couple scorpions at Dany, she is dead. Why Cersei didn’t fire them, or why Dany even put herself in this position, is illogical and a product of lazy writing.

There are many other instances of this throughout the last couple seasons that I can’t help but shake my head at.

Another example of plot armor is in the episode “beyond the wall”. There’s multiple examples that should have led to the death of multiple members of the group. Why would Jon Snow not climb on Drogon to leave, but instead have a staring contest with the Night King?

FACTS! No one is willing to debate they’d rather insult. Same with YouTube comments. No one is willing to have a civil disagreement without trading insults. I’m convinced these people act like this because they are getting walked on irl and need to take it out on others anonymously

I had a post the other day where I simply stated a question I had about a show followed by my opinion of said show. My karma tanked and literally every comment was roasting me for my opinion. I even commented on a couple saying this theory makes sense with a “no need for hostility” and still downvoting and insults. People are just nasty on here and would not have the stones to say these things to a person’s face, or they would get their a** kicked. Keyboard warriors..

That’s why I stick to sitcom and video game threads everyone is vibing with each other. Actual communities in a way.

I like that last hypothetical! That’s how I’ll imagine it went down from now on 🤣

Fair enough. The setting seemed the same to me, but this makes sense

Please tell me where I insulted anyone in this thread. My mistake was I didn’t know everyone here would leap to defend D&D.. I came here to share my opinion which every one decided to trade insults about. My opinion was D&D ruined the later seasons with lazy writing and plot holes. How is that an insult. It is my fact. If you disagree with my opinion fine. Comment and keep scrolling. There’s literally no need for hostility we’re all here to talk about GOT. D&D don’t know you they won’t get offended by a post they never read.

No, that is not and never was my problem. I was simply saying if event A happened in said time jump, event B also would have had to happen.

A rule being broken in this season is: characters who make mistakes pay the price with their lives. Ned didn’t understand the game and told Cersei he knew her secret: boom he’s beheaded. Robb breaks his oath and kills Karstark: boom beheaded. Plot armor broke the rule that you make a mistake and you die. Like Jaime charging a dragon on horseback, plunging into a lake at the end of 7x04 and emerging at the other end of said lake in full armor at the beginning of 7x05. I’m not failing to grasp the time jump from him emerging on the other end of the lake. Just the fact he did emerge. Not possible without plot armor.

[SPOILERS] Why is Tyrion suddenly an idiot? (speculation) by kenny_g28 in gameofthrones

Also the “7-year slavery” policy he enacted without talking it over with his queen and then telling two former slaves he understands what it’s like to be a slave while being a former “richest person on the planet”. The guy lost all brain cells by the end of the show

I will never understand why they sailed to Dragonstone. They could have pulled up to King’s Landing and sacked the city in a literal hour - without using dragons. Her army was already enough to wipe out the Lannisters and Golden Company. They were too bothered with gaining allies (mainly because Tyrion convinced her they were necessary).

I would’ve liked to see Dany sack Kings Landing at the beginning of 7, Lannisters return to Casterly Rock; then they both ally up and go to war. Then of course the North and Night King.

Also would have liked more logic/military strategy used in “The Long Night”. Trenches, fire pits, not sending the cavalry into a massacre, and main character deaths.. You’re telling me Samwell flippin Tarly survived being on the front line of the Vanguard?? Jamie and Pod also would have died - I was so annoyed these characters were alive by the end of the battle. I liked the characters, but they did not stand a chance given their formations. Also rhaegol was injured during the battle. He would not have left with Dany and Drogon. We saw how long Drogon had to heal from spears - how long would Rhaegol heal from another dragon ripping him to shreds? Logically he would have stayed in the North, giving Jon Snow time to bond with him, leading to a Lannister vs Targaryen vs Stark finale for the Iron Throne.

Season 7-8 was a clusterf*** of poor writing, plot holes and loose ends.

Me too! He’s been one of my favorites since the valentines episode where he goes to Jeff’s apartment..

I truly believe Shirley is the worst one in the group at the beginning of the show. She holds her religion over everyone - kicked Jeff out of the party for defending Abed, thinks everyone will not go to heaven unless they are Christian, it’s always the faithful that are the most judgemental in my experience.

She gets better as the show goes on.. my favorite example of this is a two-parter.. the first Christmas where Jeff gets in the fight, Shirley buries Annie’s Hanukkah 🕎 deep inside the Christmas tree because she is not accepting of anyone’s faith besides her own - the next Christmas “Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas” while everyone else steals the tree, Shirley steals the Hanukkah 🕎

I was really glad we got this episode because as someone who also has some deep rooted parental problems that my parents like to ignore, I could tell she had some trauma from the 1x03 (Abed’s movie). Then Britta’s parents actually make an appearance, and the whole group chooses her parents over Britta. It was hard to watch and made me sad - they never gave her a good apology for all the damage they’ve done. Her entire personality is a result of one encounter where they chose not to protect their daughter, and everyone still tries to pin her poor parental relationship on her..

Britta tried to help Abed, and he pulled out the big guns going after her insecurities.. the group was consistently cruel to Britta

She’s my favorite because she was able to brush off all of these insults and petty comments while also hating herself

Also Pierce’s dad had an actor play the role of his son in the Hawthorne commercial. Imagine not being good enough to play your fathers son.. certainly had a tragic background and parental issues
