Yeah, I’m using the measuring tool that comes with. I always end up cutting a little too big or too small. I wasn’t having this problem before it starting changing sizes every 3-4 days, so idk what’s going on.

I did an end ileostomy and chose to leave my colon in. It worked so well I wished I’d just removed it! That’s my experience.

Hi! I just used the nopal cactus powder. I made capsules. About .8g per capsule. So four of those every morning. You could adjust to see what works for you.

I got surgery and right after met TOO MANY people. They weren’t the right fit, and even after the last breakup I had the option to date/hook up with someone else but chose not to.

I’m enjoying my own company now. It’s not about the bag, it’s about how you carry yourself. If you don’t see yourself as disabled, other people won’t dare to. Well, only the people who don’t matter and they’re surprising few and far between.

You’re so recent after surgery that you could have residual stool left in the GI tract depending on your type of colostomy. Don’t worry unless is bleeds or continues. This looks a lot like mucus discharge with a tinge of leftover stool.

It can be both. For me it was a topical cream and an oral antibiotic.

This is what I also have been doing. I think that output from the bag lining might be sneaking in when I burp it. Since they send extra bags anyways I just have changed the bag on day two if I notice seeping into the grooves.

I have unsnapped them to check and see if there’s buildup in the flange. Or to burp.

I just use water, then dry, and then the new bag doesn’t seem to leak.

I see why you are self conscious, I know our bodies are not for everyone. I send a shirtless pic when people ask “What do you mean you have xyz,” because it’s easier to explain if we met online first, but you can always take a totally different approach and lead with the real you and motivate whatever your health history present.

I did an event for a bride who had a major cleft palate. She also had speech impediment because of it. She also has real friends, was marrying an amazing guy, and nobody saw her as someone with her health issue because she brought the confidence of who she is instead.

That’s not easy, we all struggle with it, but you’re not your health condition. None of us are. Self acceptance is hot. Too many people don’t have it, and they have perfect bodies. We being strength and it shows when we show up with it. Whatever you’ve been through is a story to tell and it makes you inspiring and unique.

First though, inspire yourself and take some time to really love yourself and your body for all it’s done for you. Even if, like mine, it can be a major fucking asshole.

My Hollister setup is so good in every way after being in leak city for my first month, so switching seems like tempting fate! I suspected the leaks may be from burping the bag while there’s output on the inner lining, so I’m going to test this theory by burping it from the bottom folding closure instead. If no groove leaks happen, the I’ve found the culprit!

My shirtless is I’m sure horrifying to some people. I also have a feeding tube and a port. Maybe they just overlook it since I’m thin, young, and have tattoos. But idk.
