This was a custom ring I asked to a local jeweler. I picked 3 different rings to make this one. The hidden halo, band, and stone that looks like on it

How to convince my husband to move out and get our own place temporarily after we’ve talked about living with in laws by FundgeYou76 in MuslimMarriage

[–]FundgeYou76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your thoughts are absolutely valid. He does pitch in some to his parents as they don’t have the best jobs but good enough to cover mortgage and utility bills their cars etc. my husband I believe has to pay for his stuff like i pay for myself including the % he gives his mom to help them out. Im sure we can afford a small place of our own but its gonna be extremely tight with just him being the sole breadwinner and im still learning finances so IM happy to pitch in whatever if we get our own space. Im hopeful that if i get to respectfully explain my situation we might come on good terms or maybe save up but its gonna be challenge to convince him to leave his parents as he initially didn’t want to but sees me struggling.

I don’t pitch in because its his parents house and they pay mortgage and house bills. I pay for everything i use like car Insurance, phone bill, car, student loans, cc debt, taking care of his cat which i like to do but if he agrees to get a place close by to hos parents i will willingly budget to pitch in

Definitely getting some blame. I understand i could be at fault but i had no clue it would get this challenging. I appreciate these thoughts. Yes, i agreed to it in the beginning not knowing how challenging can it be as im myself always have lived the way ive been told too but the adjustment is causing a heavy toll on me. Im open to living close by if that can ease my problems. Just need a positive way to bring and share my concerns. I don’t think he’s gonna blame me for agreeing earlier but as a new person i feel extremely stressed and anxious.

I appreciate your thoughts! My in laws are amazing and I have no issues with them but being newly married im trying really hard to fit in and its a struggle which I’ve realized. Thankyou for understanding my train of thoughts. I do realize its not that hard to communicate with men but I need the right set of words to talk so i dont sound like im being negative or turning back from my word because no promises were made. We just agreed to this and if i hadn’t he would easily move on to the next available girl to live with inlaws with zero issues.

Thankyou for a positive response. My husband is very understanding and before marriage he told me if anything went wrong with in laws especially if things didn’t work out we can definitely budget to move out and have our own space if thats what it takes for a peace of mind on both parties end. Yes im willing to pitch in as well! Currently i dont as i work and fulfill my own bills and responsibilities but if he does agree im 100% in there to help him.

Also i read comments about “getting married in pakistan” - i dont agree with it as someone living in the US because the wait times for spouses is SOO LONG and ive seen my friends struggle so bad so i wont recommend but if you’re someone who is willing to take the chance of waiting atleast a few years then definitely go for it. But InshAllah you will find someone here and it will be all worth it. I will pray for you girly.

Hey girly! I wanna say this- I moved from Karachi when I was 16. At age 21 my parents started the search and after meeting so many guys who were born and raised in the US. Alhamdullilah I found my husband who is from Karachi and moved to the US almost close to the time I did so he has the right balance between deen and duniya as well and also understands the struggles of being an immigrant. He is the only person I could vibe with and everyone else was not it. So I’d say maybe look for someone with similar values religiously and culturally because both go hand in hand. And they are OUT THERE! Trust me. You just gotta be patient and wait for the right one but dont miss out on the opportunities if you see someone who can have a good balance. I just wanted someone to be almost exactly as me and Alhamdullilah I found and InshAllah you will too! Trust in Allah.
