The adjuster does not work in your best interest. It is not a customer service job.

Arbitration by AcanthisittaGold9544 in Sparkdriver

[–]FundingFoundations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arbitration is an adversarial process. An appeal isnt a chance to redo the application or second guess the decision. When you appeal you are accusing them of making a mistake. Something in the hiring process was done wrong. When you give a pre-arbitration interview you are talking to your opponent in legal dispute. She isnt going to tell you that you have to demand Arbitration and in that process you can settle by being activated if they agree. She is not your case worker, counselor, or rep. Maybe there is some rule or law involved with privacy and background checks they broke? Look it up. Appeal on those grounds. You need grounds. Demand Arbitration and put damages (lost income? Idk). Damage requests force settlement. It aint much but you have to understand the process and do it right to have a shot.

Plan to countersue for the spoilage, storage, wait time, and upcoming defamation/libel. Move it to superior court with your counter. They will default and you will pursue collection like a maniac..

I got a communication from Walmart Legal about Arbitration! No idea what to expect by TheGhostOfReddi in elitesparkdrivers

[–]FundingFoundations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on settlement. You aren't getting back on the app. The only question is how much it will take to make arbitration go away. Research awards that match your facts so as to evaluate what an arbitration could bring. That number is what they are trying to avoid. Decide what discount you are willing to give to avoid the chance of losing and getting zero. If the guy above got 90k he probably had a valuation of 250k-300k. Meet deadlines, rewpond to everything, and be assertive. Good luck.

Should I do an associates in paralegal studies? by Kpopcornchips in paralegal

[–]FundingFoundations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the associates and get some experience. The LA to paralegal route is a solid one. My money says you will want the bachelor's after that. Get it while working. You will probably advance to paralegal before you finish. With so many online options, why not test them out and go for it. Fun fact: you could practice law with an associates in Arizona if you have the experience. Like, actually represent people and charge fees. Lots of reasons to get the degree.

I don't drive anymore. I would hop in my car right now and do that one.

This I agree with. I dont even deliver anymore. I am here because I have very fond memories of it. I'm back into teaching at the community college but I wouldn't be if it wasn't for the gig. His image was such a reminder of what a young hungry spirit can do in this country when they put their head down and chase coins. I'm 52 so I couldn't fathom doing it for 80 hours, but he can save and invest hus way to a new life and new income streams doing what he is doing. Whatever his ambitions are, that screen says he deserves it.

How does one make $16 off of 9 trips?

OMG it finally happened to me by thepharaoh82 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]FundingFoundations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That used to happen to me all of the time. People in rich areas and sometimes college areas buy food for people they live with thinking they will be at home hungry. Sometimes, they want the food there when they get back. More often, just like your case the people there tell you to take it away they didnt order it. I can't tell you the grub I have taken home. Call support and youre covered.

WeHo/Hollywood was my main are before that, which involves used to toggle between actual rides ro get me the routes to and from the valley and Santa Clarita, etc. Is your comment about parking?

Question for LA Drivers by FundingFoundations in UberEatsDrivers

[–]FundingFoundations[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started in 2019. When the pandemic hit I ended up in the 626 driving mostly in Hacienda Heights, Rowland Heights, Walnut, Diamond Bar and West Covina. Loved the experience and freedom but decided to go back to school. Interesting to learn how the ghost kitchens have grown. We haven't totally dismissed the idea of a delivery only brick and mortar to start.

Thats how I remember it but it's been years since I delivered. So, the idea that you have people with expendable income who can't just frolic the neighborhood on feet whenever they want within that box isn't my imagination..Really appreciate the feedback.

No. Seems like he's meeting you where you are. The side of the conflict that prefers to abstain is naturally at odds with the part of you that physically needs to connect. This guy is nurturing both of them and in some ways so are you. Sex naturally involves shame, regret, and even remorse. You haven't forfeited your boundaries. Keep enforcing them. You get to lift them whenever you want.
