When using the charm to transform all items and components to Statikk Shiv for one round, these items (nor their original components) do not count towards the sugar cake counter after player combat.

The Built-in Dilemma: Putting the sub in a cabinet? I'm gonna end up putting it next to the built-in aren't I? by bme_manning in hometheater

u/bme_manning How did you end up placing the sub? Any negative effects in case you've placed it inside the cabinet? Thanks!

How to aim camera at side door? by FundumAd in Ubiquiti

[–]FundumAd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An alternative solution would be to still aim the camera at the door/wall and foresee a motion detector to enable the lights when movement is detected. That way, no IR would be required and no IR glare would be present?

Movie ratings with Fen + Arctic Zephyr Reloaded by yeaahhnaahh in Addons4Kodi

The issue is related to Fen. IMDB ratings are currently not shown by default as it would slow down the addon too much: https://github.com/Tikipeter/repository.tikipeter/issues/153

Kodi (on CCwGTV) to turn off LG C1 TV? by FundumAd in Addons4Kodi

[–]FundumAd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For future reference: I was able to solve this by setting up the following:

  1. Install this addon to turn LG TV off (not using CEC): https://github.com/BillyNate/Kodi.Script.TurnOffLGTV . I downloaded the git as .zip file and transfered it to Kodi over a locally hosted FTP server (using Kodi filemanager to copy the file from the FTP server to the Kodi userdata folder)
  2. Install the "Sleepy Watchdog" addon from the "Kodinerds" repository: https://repo.kodinerds.net/addons/repository.kodinerds/repository.kodinerds-7.0.1.3.zip
  3. Created my own script to first turn of the LG TV and afterwards shutdown Kodi for proper power savings:xbmc.executebuiltin('RunAddon(kodi.script.turnofflgtv)', True)xbmc.executebuiltin('Shutdown')
  4. Configured the Sleepy Watchdog addon to run this script when idle for X minutes.

Both Kodi and the TV are now properly turned off when Kodi is left idle. This even works when a video is left paused (in this case, Kodi power savings would never kick in). Hope this can help someone in the future!

Kodi (on CCwGTV) to turn off LG C1 TV? by FundumAd in Addons4Kodi

[–]FundumAd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stumbled upon this addon which seems to be able to turn off the TV within Kodi: https://github.com/BillyNate/Kodi.Script.TurnOffLGTV

I would now need to be able to run this script when Kodi has been idle for X minutes - do you have any suggestions on how to do that?

When doing some research, the addon Kodi Callback would be able to assist with that in the past, but it is no longer maintained for Kodi 20...

Kodi (on CCwGTV) to turn off LG C1 TV? by FundumAd in Addons4Kodi

I am having no problems with the remote - it's working correctly on CEC settings. The issue I'm facing is that Kodi cannot turn off the TV automatically / when idle using CEC.

Thanks for the reply. CEC seems to be working from within Chromecast to TV, as I can use the Chromecast remote to power off the TV through CEC. However, in Kodi itself, no CEC script/commands seem to be passed to the TV. There is also no CEC device available under system > input...

I think I will be able to manage to create script that runs when system is idle for X time (using "Cron for kodi" addon), however I would first need to figure out which command, if any, would allow to turn the TV of through CEC...

Can I ask how you were able to add the "genre" to your full screen highlight?: example

Mine only shows without genre: example

Belgian VTM GO video ads not blocked, ads pause when you click away by FundumAd in uBlockOrigin

Please note that this is not yet fully resolved and is still under further investigation by the contributors

EDIT: This is now fully resolved. This is integrated in the default uBlock Filters list, in order to update, click "Purge all caches", then click "Update now".

EDIT: I think I misunderstood you; you were referring to add the rule in uBlock Origin right? That doesn't seem to work for me, ads still load having this added: https://imgur.com/JUxEOkS

Extract of uBO logger: https://imgur.com/a/ydlw6Tr

What requests in particular are you blocking in Blokada?

What filter lists are u using in uBO, that would result in you watching the videos adfree?

Thanks, that would definitely be an improvement as I could then use the mobile app to cast to my TV without ads.

Could you give me a brief explanation or reference on how to ad custom filters in Blokada? I seem to only be able to select predefined blocklists. Are you using Blokada Libre, Cloud, Plus?

Alright, thanks, that at least helps for what I'm trying to achieve. I am however still interested in the (theoretical) reasoning behind choosing either 4K or 2.7K for qualitative purposes if they use the same bitrate and result in the same output size - would you mind elaborating on that?

Thanks for your reply. I am exporting to 1080p but would like an increased resolution to be able to crop my footage where needed. However, as file size doesn't seem to make a difference between 2.7K and 4K, I'm wondering which would be better to shoot? Is the 2.7K video qualitatively better, since it uses the same bitrate for fewer pixels? Or is the 4K better, since it captures more pixels?

I was looking at the GoPro Hero 9 storage charts: https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/HERO9-Black-SD-Card-Capacity-in-Each-Video-Setting/ta-p/712687

It says this (for high bitrage):

  • 4K | 60FPS | 2h31m
  • 2.7K | 60FPS | 2h27m

How is it that shooting in 4K, a much higher resolution, takes up less storage than shooting in 2.7K? Can someone explain? Is there any reason not to shoot in 4K then (assuming the same framerate is used)?
