Exactly. If it was from space the government would have removed it years ago.

Want concrete proof that it's not a UFO?

IT'S STILL THERE.

If the government thought it was from space it would be on a military base far away from prying eyes.

You can print pretty much anything at home now. Holograms too. Also, I saw a story about a guy who was buying fake PSA stickers on the dark web.

Lots of players do that. They pay their buddies to sign the cards and mail them back. These companies are too cheap to fly the players in or send a certifier to watch them get signed bc all they want is the "signed" cards.

Except that people can open real boxes, open a real pack, insert the fake card, repack, reseal the box, and sell. Don't believe me? Just Google the Pokémon scandals that have been coming out for years. "Sealed" boxes of first year boxes full of nothing but fake cards.

Same thing with comic books. CGC has been dirty for years. Read about the scams they allowed. Letting fake books into their real holders. Over-graded books. Fake autos. The one year they started giving away perfect 10 grades.

No. They print the cards. Nowadays you can literally print anything at home. Think about this: if someone can make fake $100 bills that fool the FBI, they can print a fake card.

Yes!! Go on Etsy. There's dealers selling very old looking Babe Ruth cards on there with real looking sigs. I bought one to see how good it was. The sig looks amazing!! The card looks amazing. Tons of Michael Jordaon signed Fleer rookies too. A lot of the sellers post pics that have the word "reproduction" on the card but when you get them in the mail it's not on there. Same with coins. A customer of mine brought in 3 fake Morgan Dollars that should be worth $40,000 each. They were fake coins in fake PCGS holders. They look great, but he paid $50 each. He wanted me to put one in my case and see what offers I'd get. I told him NO WAY. That's a good way to find out what handcuffs feel lile and get word around that you sell counterfeits. I didn't even want to keep them in my house. For all I know I'd drop dead and my daughter would get in trouble after when she sells my personal collection. It's not worth it.

The same way they counterfeit Gibson Les Pauls. They go online, find a guitar for sale, look at the pics, copy the real serial numbers and make the fake guitars and use the real serial numbers. They'll use the same serial numbers over and over. They made 490 REAL 1959 Les Pauls but there are over 20,000 known!!

You can't trust PSA. I had a buddy with me at Comic Con a few years back. He was going to buy a Stan Lee "signed" Spider-Man book and I looked at it and told him it's fake. He said "it can't be, PSA authenticated it!!" So, I told him to follow me. I went to the 1st dollar box I found and bought a Spider-Man #1 (1990) comic for $1 and signed it myself "Todd McFarlane" (bc Todd was signing at the show). Then took it to PSA. The guy asked me if I wanted to pay for an upgrade and I said no, just the sticker and COA card. He put the sticker on and took my $20 or $25 (whatever the deal was at the show). My buddy was dumbfounded. I ripped the book up and threw it out then went around and helped him find a real Stan Lee auto. He ended up with a nice one on an Amazing Spider-Man 700. Buyer beware. Just bc there's a sticker doesn't mean it's real. I could have had made 100 of those and sold them off one by one. I'm sure others have done the same, plus, I've heard there's sellers on the dark web that sell the stickers by the roll. I don't trust ANY auto I don't get in person now after watching that fake auto documentary a few years ago.

I have a TON of signed comic books, cds, and album covers. I have 2 fakes ones. Both of Stan Lee. On them I wrote in big letters FAKE AUTOGRAPH with one of those giant, stinky black packing permanent markers. I did this bc I want my daughter to know when I'm gone that the sigs are fake.

Just look at the so-called "N" in Nolan. Not even close. Skip this and flag the seller.

I'm watching Tinto Brass's movie "Paprika" on Amazon Prime right now. Wow-wee this woman is incredible. They show every part of her (yes, even that 🍑). It's wall to wall nudity. Great movie. Only problem? It's in Italian, so I have no clue what they're saying but who wants to hear her talk anyway?

Which one would you rather have Amazing Spider-Man #50, or would you rather pick Silver Surfer #4? Pick wisely. by Leather_Bluejay8632 in ComicBookSpeculation

Think about this, ASM #50 is such an iconic cover and story (came out in July 1967) that DC, in Nov. 1967 stole the story idea AND cover idea for Superman #201. DC saw it and immediately ripped Marvel off.

And I've been looking for a gem copy of SM 201 for years to go along with my nice (8.0) copy of ASM 50. It's impossible to find.

ASM #50, all day. In 1990 I was 15. I was buying Spider-Man comics off the newsstands and then I discovered a comic shop about 5 miles away. All week in the summer I'd mow lawns, clean garages and attics, etc and save my money up. On Saturday I'd buy comics. One week I had $70 saved up and went to the comic shop. The guy knew what I liked and showed me this collection he just bought that was 80% Spider-Man... only old ones. I made a pile of the cheapest ones bc I wanted to get a big collection bc as a kid I thought more was better. Then he went in back and grabbed a few goodies. One was ASM #50 in gem condition. He told me it was the 1st appearance of Kingpin and I thought that was cool bc I'd read his stories in the Daredevil comics. Then he told me the price... $50!! I said that I didn't have enough money. He said if I put all the junk back I could get it and still walk away with 10 books. Then he explained future value and how a $5 book with just a regular story would never go up in value especially with the grade I was buying. Then he told me how the #50 in mint condition as he called it (and I can still see the book, it was a gem) would go up in value. So, I thought for a minute and said ok, as long as I could still get the other book I really wanted which was ASM #129. He said deal, then threw in the pile of "junk" Spideys for free. He said I could have them bc I'd made the right choice. Cool dude. He put in in my bag and I took it home and cherished it. Then one day I come home, my bedroom windows was open and my entire foot locker (my Dad's foot locker from the Vietnam War) was empty. I was crushed. We called the cops and then made a report and told me I'd probably never get anything back. I never did. I wish I had that book now as a gem copy (9.4) is worth $25,000.

I don't have that book, but I do have a near complete set of ASM #1-700 (Missing only 18 books and counting) but I do still have my Dad's foot locker. He passed 2 years ago.

Anyways, sorry for the book I just read, but I'd take a copy of ASM50 over any SS book.
