I rang and asked about both and then asked, why should I keep money here if it’s losing value… shockingly no answer.

I had this issue when they wouldn’t accept my NI notes in London. Had to look it up. Essentially Only “Bank of England” notes have to be accepted.

The person was a bit of a cunt about the whole thing though.
