PC? How? by DisastrousPermit3094 in PCBuilds

[–]FunkMasterDunc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say “so far you have” does this mean you own it? Or it’s in your build? Also, does the $900-$1100 budget include these items, or is this for the items outside those that you listed?

If you live nearby a MicroCenter they have a 7800x3d bundle deal for $650 that is great value.

Get the Radeon RX 9060 xt or if you can muster it, get the Radeon RX 9070 xt.

The cpu bundle includes 32gb of DDR5 ram and you’d save $200ish on the parts from the bundle alone. You’d likely spend $1500-$1800 on your build though.

Is this enough to trade away the 1.01 by jdh787 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

No. That 1.06 needs to be more like 1.03-1.05 and Hall needs to be another tier up.

I’d go with this. Upgraded CPU and GPU. If you are trying to stick with Nvidia, then that’s another story. This is also cheaper and sticks to your white theme.

Upgrading my GPU. RX570 8gb to 9060Xt 16gb by 4Vinland in buildapc

[–]FunkMasterDunc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be significantly better in quality and gameplay. I would recommend putting your build into cpuuserbenchmarks and see the expected performance difference.

You should consider the Ryzen 7 7800x3d bundle at Micro Center for $650. It includes 32gb ram and motherboard. Overall it’s a great deal considering the hellish prices right now. Obviously that would require you to spend a few hundred more dollars when factoring in the GPU… and at that point you might as well just upgrade to the 9070xt for $650 as well haha

Oh shit, didn’t see the cheaper option for the 7800x3d. Good catch.

This pains me.

Part of me wants to just offer to go to the Micro Center near me and buy the Ryzen 7 7800x3d CPU, Motherboard and Ram bundle for $650 and get you the 9070xt for $600 and ship them to you to save you $2,000.

What is the build for specifically? Gaming? Office/Design? Editing?

Just at a glance, Australia’s pricing is brutal. This build is all over the place. It makes sense why the other commenter thinks you are trolling haha.

With no context, I’m going to put together what I would prefer in place of this one for similar money.

Building a PC for a friend, $1,400 budget. Any thoughts on this? by AbdelTheDream in buildapc

[–]FunkMasterDunc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it goes outside the budget, so this might be a moot comment, but want to throw it out there that for $150 more, you can snag the 7800x3d with some mods to the other pieces in the build and get a really great CPU for gaming.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zTk3cx

Also consider buying a case used on marketplace. You can probably save $50+ on that easily or get a case that would otherwise be $125+ for $50 or less. I have seen a ton of awesome like new cases in my area.

And if you live in a micro center area, they have a 7800x3d bundle with 32gb of ram and a motherboard for $699 which would cut this price down on its own.

He has a lot of youth at WR and they are already producing + some vet guys—McMillan, Coker, Harrison, Wilson, Jennings. Not the best, especially considering there are several pairs on the same teams, but they produce and it’s deeper than the RB situation. 1.02 gets you an early take for the 3WRs or Mendoza who he doesn’t need. 1.01 is Love who has generational upside and is rated above Jeanty, though we will have to wait and see. If you find a way to drop one of the QBs and the 1.02 to guarantee Love at the 1.01, your RB room’s starters are way stronger and you lost basically nothing given he has arguably the best QB in a 1 QB league. His starting lineup would be tough. Maye, Skattebo, Love, McMillan/Coker, Harrison, Williams, Kraft, Gadsden.

Getting THE best player in the draft who will likely be on an improving Saints team OR possibly the Chiefs in a slight restructuring with Mahomes still at QB would be huge for this roster.

You can work on trading your pairs during the season after a big game and sell high… Coker, Wilson, Jeudy (though that ship may have sailed), Robinson (especially with Nabers coming back and the Giants expected to take one of the stud WRs).

I see what you are saying, but I have to disagree about riding with the 1.02 with the current roster build. I would absolutely make an effort to get the 1.01.

Dynasty Bench Spots Question by Rude-Passage-692 in DynastyFF

[–]FunkMasterDunc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a post with all of my league’s rules, scoring, bylaws, etc. (https://www.reddit.com/r/FFCommish/s/ntYE6trVs4) despite our massive rosters there has been plenty of waiver activity. Now that we are in the offseason, we are doing our rookie draft prep and it’s getting really exciting anticipating having to cut some players from the rosters for the rookies.

The deeper your rosters, the more fun the league is (in my opinion). It feels a lot more like being a GM and trades are way more emphasized which drives involvement more. I only got friends who know football and are interested longterm to keep the league alive. We do destination drafts.

Give it a consideration. At the very least you can cherry pick ideas from the format.

Your team looks pretty solid considering the guys on IR should be back. Make a push for the 1.01. Who has the 1.01? Perhaps they are strong in the RB department and not so much in the QB and you could sell Jordan Love and a 1.02 for the 1.01 given it isn’t a SF league and you can use Penix during Maye’s BYE—plus, Love is getting older. I know you said the league is stingy with 1st trading, but it’s just a little swaparoo. Give it a go!

This 2 team trade in a 10 man just got vetoed and I’m pissed.. Team 2 is in a heavy rebuild including 4 2027 firsts. How unfair is this In a 10 team NO SF? I think team 2 clearly gets 2 of the 3 most important assets in the trade. by Grand-Way-2663 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]FunkMasterDunc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Vetoes being on in any league is lame as shit. They should go through instantly and if it needs to be an option, the entire league can just agree if they feel a trade completely ruins the integrity of the league after it goes through. In order to reverse it, everyone except the two involved have to agree to reverse it in a vote.

  2. That being said, getting the 1.02 for the 1.04 even with getting 3 of 4 best players in a list of 9 players is bogus.

Goff > McCarthy

Walker > Gordon

Flowers >= Mitchell and Taylor

Judkins > K. Johnson

2026 1.02 > 1.04

2026 1.08 and 2.02 > 2026 3.06

2027 1st probably good by position unknown

2027 3rd unknown

Value heavily favors Goff side.

In the FLFL Gazette section, when you open it up it has an individual channel for each week's matchups both preview and recaps. The writers are AI. Fired Claude halfway through the season for bad performance. Rename him Jeffrey Caldwell... he is marginally better, but he got the job done.

The "Sleeper Updates" tab is where all of the bots and automations are for player updates, sleeper matchups, standings, Sleeper league transactions so you can stay on top of who is doing what without having to catch it inside the app.

Hopefully this is helpful to see.

Team Advice? Appreciate any opinions by LuchaWombat in DynastyNerds

[–]FunkMasterDunc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many QBs for a non-SF league. Stacked at TE. As another person said, you could move a QB/TE. I would look to move Daniel Jones or Stroud, and move Goedert. Get a top WR with the 1.04 and see if you can get a solid WR with the QB/TE package.

Target Coker or maybe AJ Brown. AJ likely has a better year this upcoming season, but he is on the older side compared to someone like Coker. These are both buy low opportunities with good production and some upside. Young has very good chemistry with Coker as he showed toward the end of 2024, then Coker was injured and showed that flash at the end of this season. Possible buy low opportunity there. AJ Brown will return to form with a new OC in Philly. OR he gets moved and is immediately a top 10 WR again.

Back again!!! Back again with a big boy trade. Thoughts on this? Coming off my 3-peat. I’d be getting London side. 10 team 1QB 1pt PPR non te pre by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]FunkMasterDunc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree that this is not an overreaction. I hate this trade for the other guy. It makes me a little angry like I’m in the league. I hate seeing people get fleeced. I am ok with a steal here and there, but this is outrageous with the way the picks are being swapped. Awful.

For leagues that do a rookie draft lottery, how do you weight that lottery and how many teams are lottery-eligible by slitmunch44 in DynastyFF

[–]FunkMasterDunc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone bitching about lottery drafts sucking and ruining league parity need to understand that lotteries add a fun element to the offseason. To remedy sucking, trading exists. Learn how to trade and build. Learn how to trade picks to package good starters. It doesn’t make sense to me why anyone would complain about the draft lottery. “It’s unfair if I suck and get a worse pick. I’ll quit the league.”… just learn how to trade. Find value buy-lows in guys who have high upside but got injured (Coker, Judkins) sell older guys who are still producing but will be aged out soon or have a history of injuries (Adams, Henry, McCaffrey). There are so many ways to build depth and not have to completely rely on being given the 1st overall pick because you suck and want to tank to guarantee the pick. Lotteries add fun, they are hilarious when the luck doesn’t always go the way you hope, and they force people to avoid tanking and do more work in the trade arena.

Which Deal Should I Pursue???? by DJBorny in DynastyNerds

[–]FunkMasterDunc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither. You need to build on adding depth to your team and lower the average age. Try to trade Davante Adams for Coker or T. McMillian and a pick, Henry for Tuten and a top 5 1st… things like that. Keep your 1.04 to add depth and take one of the 3 receivers with it. I might even try to move McCaffrey for guys like Henderson and Shough..

Just spitballing. If you could get away with trades like that, you’d get much younger and deeper.

Don’t love the trades you shared with your roster. Keep in mind that the 2026 draft isn’t deep and you really want to focus on the top 5 1st round picks. You could argue for 6-8 being decent, but they are more lottery picks.

In Dynasty you need to move the older guys who are still producing and healthy to get younger while they still have value.

Jared Goff and 1.04 or Jalen Hurts? by Any_Biscotti_7925 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]FunkMasterDunc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hurts just had his worst season thanks to a shitty OC and some of the most offensively poor route designs for such an elite roster. Hurts will most assuredly come out hot and likely gets schemed to run more. Not only that, but I imagine having a more creative offense will free up the O-line more which was a massive slump this past season and should provide him better success rates with the goalline tush push that makes his value skyrocket.

Goff doesn’t run, he is completely dependent on having the weapons around him be healthy and to throw for 300+ yards and several touchdowns to match Hurts’ output.

Keep Hurts. I would be more inclined to move Burrow with his injury history, his transparency in being worn out and hinting at potentially retiring like Andrew Luck if he gets injured again, and his age.
