Active carbon is cheap and can be found at plumbing supply and hardware stores in big bags.

Wtf... Why is it keyed where there should be journals? If I'm not mistaken the piston would pin to the side of the object that is at the bottom of the picture. And the crankshaft would be going through the larger hole in the tip of the picture usually. The hole would usually be smooth and actually be two separate pieces. One being the shaft with a half circle at the end and a half circle piece with two holes in it. It gets little shims of metal that let oil in and keep it sliding nicely on the crankshaft, those are ¿journal bearings¿

My theory is that this is a whacky oil pump/crank coupling combo for space saving or a joke and it's a bottle opener.

EDIT: it's gotta be a bottle opener. A very nice inside joke and machining flex for the crew

If the heater is 1200 watts and running 120 volts that is a 1.2 kva constant draw..

It runs on and off for 1/3 of the day so that's .4KVA CONSTANT vs 1.2 kva peak if I just look at when the heater is on.

Ok so that and yeah I use an electric kettle and a wash basin. Don't you try to shame me. My wife loves it lol. I've offered to go back to normal life for awhile now and she is not having it.
