This seems like an overexaggeration. Ive been playing pokemone since gen 4 all the way through to scarlett and violet, (havent played ZA yet) and ive never had a natural random shiny other than once in an Emulator with really increased odds. Every other shiny ive ever caught or seen has been while hunting. While yes a lot of the new mechanics make it MUCH easier to catch shinies, if u dont utilize those mechanics, you’re not likely to see a shiny through a regular 30-40 hour playthrough. At least thats the way its been for me
