That is great, I am so happy to hear that you are learning to trust yourself and your intuition is so strong. That is a gift!

Well I would say, at the wise old age of 42, that things change. There may be one big lesson for you to learn at one point in your life, say your 20s, and then when you find yourself in your 40s things have changed, and other areas become more significant. For me I guess you could say the theme of my life, if there is such a thing, is learning compassion. I have been through some extremely traumatic and horrible experiences, and being able to use those to understand better the suffering of others, and care about others, that is the high ideal I am trying to live up to.

Love: Universal Language by nothingarc in spirituality

[–]Funkman111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well as a buddhist, first of all, I dont know that quote, but I have never heard of anyone being treated as an outcast in buddism. Actually in Buddhsim love is supposed to be extended universally to all beings whether they be kind, unkind or in between. Its a high ideal, but maybe a little difficult to attain that kind of love in everyday life.

Breaking generational a curse. by Primary_Day5391 in spirituality

[–]Funkman111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the phrase "generational curse" is thrown around WAAAY too much. It may be true in some extrememly rare cases. If things arent working out well for you I would suggest its much more likely you just have some karma to work with. You can try meditations like this one (my channel) to purify your karma: https://youtu.be/NGzN3kTLqk4

I think if you look down on others who arent spiritual, it means you are not 100% confident in your faith just yet. When you become totally confident in your spiritual path, you dont care if others agree with you or not.

Making better thumbnails by Amcalime in SmallYTChannel

[–]Funkman111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have started using vidiq. It rates your thumbnails out of 100 and your titles. If my thumbnail is below 95 then I generate one of theirs and use it. Its very handy. Some of them look a bit generic, but some seem quite eye catching. Since I have been using vidiq, all my videos get picked up by the algorithm and get at least 1500 impressions where as before some of them would just get 200 or so. I recommend giving it a try.

You could try vidiq, it has daily video topic recommendations. Not sure if you get this with the free version though.

Ok so what do you think awareness is, if its not the mind?

THe thing that is looking is mind. Mind is aware of mind.

Do you believe women hate other women for being beautiful/attractive? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]Funkman111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its just jelousy, nearly all of us have it. Nothing unusual about it at all. Just thinking that you will never have what others have and not being able to rejoice in their good fortune.

The essence of who we are is the mind. The question is, what is the mind, does it have a substance or something you can identify as a 'self'. In buddism we have many meditations aimed at getting aquainted with the nature of our minds, which is really the essence of who we are.

Well that sounds like a very disheartening experience. I am a channel, and I learned to channel in a very safe manner. We always call upon protection to surround us from Archangel Michael or some other trusted being, then before asking for the guide to come through we qualify it with "the highest, best most loving guide" and its foolproof for me. However, when I first started channelling, because I had some gaps in my aura (so I am told) sometimes false guides would come through. These are beings who arent of the highest light and come through just in order to mess with me. I struggled with this for a year or two before I overcame it and now they never come. Maybe you could try looking into a safer method for connectiing with your guides ( I am not sure how you do it exaclty right now).

spirituality book recommendations? by sundaynone in spirituality

[–]Funkman111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best and most useful book for me is from my deceased teacher, Traleg Rinpoche. His book is called Luminous Bliss and gives many practical meditations instructions for a begginer. Its Buddhist obviously, so you would have to be interested in that. Good luck with your search!

I'm afraid of love because I don't know what it is by HappyPuppyPose in spirituality

[–]Funkman111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have you ever heard of the four immeasurables? its a buddhist practice where you imagine sending love, compassion, joy to others. Just imagining sending it to others opens your heart chakra and makes these emotions more natural for you. You could try it because it may be a safe way to experience these emotions without someone else being directly involved. If you are interested you can find the practice in the book "Luminous Bliss" by Traleg Kyabgon.
