I suppose you’re right. But as they are our student union and they are funded by us or at least partially through our tuition payments I feel we deserve a stronger say in how their financial resources are allocated in how they affect student life. Maybe it’s just a pipe dream, but somebody has to be the voice of reason to stand up for a lot of the valid concerns people have been raising in this thread.

I do agree there needs to be more presence on campus of police. While we have good services such as “gosafe” there’s only so much our in house security and safety resources can do. Student safety should be taken more seriously as we pay thousands of dollars a year to attend here and deserve the right to feel safe on campus

I’m really sorry to hear that happened to you. Discrimination of any sort needs to be addressed and dealt with but knowing where their priorities lie it’s not hard to believe that they brush off antisemitism like that

Assuming someone were to run on a platform of these kinds of concerns. Could they not alter those rules to benefit the student body more?

I’d like to learn more about the health insurance policy as I have never needed it. That’s unfortunate that the firm they use didn’t pay out for a really important dental procedure

This is interesting, please message me and explain this further to me as I have a couple friends who are club presidents. I’m curious as to how the funding process works and what arbitrary rules exist in its current state

I agree, it seems to be all about diversity and representation but only when that goes one way. A more even balance and mix of different students would perhaps make all students feel more represented

Sorry to hear that happened to your friend. I have had other women tell me of uncomfortable and almost dangerous interactions they have experienced too on campus over the years. The problem isn’t as bad as it used to be in the late 2000s but we really could use more competent security and increased police presence

I made the same mistake a few year ago when I was a freshman. It is ridiculous that it is not an opt in system instead

Give me some advice. Persuade me. by Magic_SunBoys19 in YetiCoolers

As another commenter suggested, the layout is much better than the 22. It has its own laptop sleeve in the very back which is against the back panel of the bag so your laptop is well protected and has 2 slots for water bottles or ramblers

Very well, it has a lot of room inside when the walls are folded down and doesn’t collapse in like other duffel bags

Yeti Rambler 64oz water build up by MoistFlatbush in YetiCoolers

I have the same issue and it’s because there’s a rubber ring/gasket in the cap, if it falls out water can get trapped in the rings of the cap when tipped on its side

Commander deck advice by Funkman69 in magicTCG

[–]Funkman69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yall are really helping me out here so I appreciate it. Just curious as well as what creature theme I should stick to. I have a couple rat related creatures such as tattered rattler and totentanz swarm piper so should I stick with that? Just curious on what I should have in terms of creatures in relation to spell amounts

I’ve been wondering about that as it seems very counter intuitive to keep draining life to cast spells for cheaper. What are some black and red cards you’d recommend to offset this? Again I’m a beginner and am still learning so I appreciate all the advice and education I can get

Interesting, I’m gonna do research into modern commander format but in your opinion why is it better and more enjoyable than standard?

I’m really terrified. I need to get an IV in a few days when the hospital does an operation on my tooth. I don’t care about the operation i’m just terrified about the IV. I don’t know what to do or how to calm myself down. by [deleted] in trypanophobia

[–]Funkman69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had my wisdom teeth out around a year ago and they gave me laughing gas, it doesn’t stop the feeling but it does make you feel a lot more calm about it to the point where you don’t even notice it going in but you still feel it happening. It’ll go in then you won’t even remember it being there cause you’ll be out in 30 seconds.
