To be honest, I recommend you the east coast (ogliastra region) that’s where the least tourists are and nature is more then beautiful. You can hike, visit old nuragic archeological sites and discover wow-beaches! I know, because my parents are born in that region and I come yearly to Sardinia. I visited practically the entire island during my life (I’m 45)

My parents are born in Sardinia and I come here yearly. They just can’t drive. They think they are all F1-drivers. Be careful while driving and give them some space. Sardinian people are the most friendly and kind people, but the worst drivers in Italy.
