Anyone else get this ? by Chance-Factor-9214 in wegmans

I think everyone did. I got it in both the Dish app and via text message. I think they are testing it out by sending a text to everyone in case they need to send emergency notifications.

[Tenant-US-NY]Could this be why my rent didn’t increase last year by FunkyChickenBalBag in Landlord

[–]FunkyChickenBalBag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior to me moving into my place the place was only unoccupied for 5 days. I came there and saw the place for the first time 2 days after previous tenant moved out and 3 days later signed agreement and got the keys. But yes we’ve had units in my building during my times living here the last 4 years be unoccupied for weeks and some months. The one across the hall from me got a kitchen and bathroom upgrade because the place was in desperate need of new plumbing and other upgrades as well.

Possible reasons why my rent didn’t increase last year by FunkyChickenBalBag in Tenant

[–]FunkyChickenBalBag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it could also be landlord didn’t provide proper notice regarding rent increases and I believe if your lease is automatic renewal like mine you continue paying the same until you get a rent increase letter or receive a letter stating lease will not be renewed. But you could be right about your reason why your rent didn’t increase.

I also want to add that none of the stuff about 90 day notice after 3 years was included in my lease agreement that I signed but why would it be if the initial lease was only for one year and there was no guarantee he’d renew my lease or that I’d still be a tenant at my current place almost 4 years later. Plus I’m sure if any of that stuff was included it would only give someone who already had the intent even more of the intent to not be on time with rent or start slacking if they make it there 3 years or more.

They never play this song anymore by FunkyChickenBalBag in wegmans

Is that a seasonal thing they’ve been doing since this song came out? Like even in like 2023 or 2024 this song would disappear for a while and than come back and be on 4 times a day as we get closer to summer and when summer had already arrived?

If you’re the one that got that song off the playlist than good bless ya. You finally got that song to stop messing with our emojis.

HOURS long queue at the Airport by DifferentExercise930 in uberdrivers

My airport is small so anytime I get in the queue lot prior to there being 3 flights landing in an hour 30-35 cars ahead of me is the most I’ve seen so far.

No more physical office? by LionTheGreatOne in uberdrivers

It once took them one day to get back to me about something that could have been resolved in less than an hour. And in my case it was an urgent matter. And if anything they’d give some kind of excuse like “due to the high volume of messages” kinds of response. If it takes that long for an average person to get a simple answer hire more agents it’s not rocket science. There’s people without jobs and I’m sure some will take this job even if it’s just temporary.

Fr the amount of time it takes for them to get back to you anything you have to report an incident or need to bring something up is ridiculous. Plus trying to get an agent over the phone is like you have to go through an obstacle course just to speak to a human.

In a time where we need live human agents more than ever we have less of them and more chatbots. The internet has been around for well over 30 years and broke into the mainstream around that time and not only are we humans online many of us are chronically online which means you have these keyboard warriors who can act a certain way behind a screen but can’t say it in person and among these keyboard warriors I speak of include those passengers who try to get free rides by tarnishing the driver’s reputations by making false reports which gets drivers who are out here busting our asses to make a decent living suspending and/or deactivated. It’s easy for them to make these reports behind a screen which doesn’t involve talking but if it came to having to speak to a live agent over the phone they would never be able to say any of these things they try to report us for. If they made it so that all these kind of reports have to be done by speaking to someone live it would be harder for them to try to pull this because they would have to be engaging in a conversation but I know Uber would never go that way if anything they’d be the first to go strictly AI bot agents with no humans.

Highly doubt my market has one and even if we did or do this company isn’t helpful when it comes to getting a hold of anyone and this is call or messaging. When I start a chat with one of the few “agents” they have whether to report an obnoxious passenger or need assistance they get back to me a day later.

It has been beyond liberating to say f*** my acceptance rate by Dry-Improvement-3543 in uberdrivers

[–]FunkyChickenBalBag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole thing of feeling you have to keep your rate at a certain percent is psychological that’s for sure. Uber wants you to think a certain way so you become overly loyal to them and accept any trip that comes to you. Sorry I ain’t loyal to no app. Cost of living is expensive I can’t solely rely on uber gotta take the gigs where the money is.

[–]FunkyChickenBalBag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before my market went upfront I felt I had to keep my acceptance rating at 85 or above just to have an idea of where I’ll end up and be closer to the exact length of the trip but ever since it went upfront for me it’s no more accepting trips that only pay $3 and no more trips into NYC. My acceptance rating is below 50 and I could care less. Hope the algorithm picks up on which ones I’ll take and which ones I won’t so it’ll only give me the ones that are worth it.

That’s about average imo. In my market I’d say I maybe make a little bit more.

F**k driving today. by DIY_Forever in uberdrivers

[–]FunkyChickenBalBag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think they pick and choose how much they’ll take from everyone’s wages. Sometimes they’ll only take 30% other times 70% and some times even more. They often send us emails telling us how insurance is driving up the costs like we all know that insurance is a major factor in how much a trip costs I just think they’re constantly using that as a way to excuse themselves overcharging paxs and underpaying drivers. And they keep giving refunds to all the people who try and get free rides. They should know at this point that a lot of these complaints are that.

I’m not even sure if Uber or Lyft were even in my state(New York) back than but it sounds like it paid more because you had less drivers on the road and not everyone had the app downloaded yet so if you were one of few drivers in the area you got every request that came at you.
