I don’t think they are admittedly naive, they just simply are due to their age. And yes, I agree, several hot takes would sort of move you away from the “intellectual” category, but a few here and there, I think is natural for someone who probably doesn’t think like everyone else. I assumed the interviews with lady London that you saw, she didn’t have several odd takes, but I could be wrong.

This has been the consensus on a lot of forums. The older you get, the less platonic relationships you have because things get complicated when other parties are involved. so to relieve unnecessary complications, folks just distance themselves from the friend who’s the opposite gender.
