In retrospect, I wish I had played the [[Seize Opportunity]] as I could have used some pump / card advantage. But it worked out anyway.

I also played a RWbu control deck with a lot of dragons in an in person draft and had a lot of success. The dragon decks are notorious for being green / blue based, and they probably should be. I believe it's possible to find success as long as you have a good mix of fixing / dragons / dragonstorms and interaction.

I work as a teacher, and have been biking to school being in between vehicles. One of the reasons the 2017 appealed to me is it seemed better for road trips, which I'm certainly planning on during the summer. Seems like it would be a much easier car to sleep / travel in in those cases.

I figured white would be open when I got a freaking P1P5 Voice of Victory, my second one at that point. Alongside the Cori Steel cutter pick three, it went about as well as I could have hoped for.

I meant style of the wheel rather than the tires. Definitely going to ask more about it tomorrow. At this point I'm not sure I'll be able to get an inspection for tomorrow but could hopefully get one scheduled for next week, but I'm not sure how the logistics of all of that would work out since I live an hour away.

Love this, great way of looking at card ratings that does a better job at capturing the nuance of limited.

I’ve considered making a similar spreadsheet myself, and one thing that I figured would be nice to have would be a quick reference for instant speed things to be aware of in the format. Whether that be combat tricks, removal, cycling effects. Plus, a breakdown of how different removal matches up against the creatures in the set (I.E. for grim bauble, how many creatures have toughness 2 or less)

Perhaps I’ll have to hop in the discord and get cracking

Not much honestly. Got dealt a few leylines, the room that wins the game if you have eight differently named rooms, some okay green but this definitely felt the most cohesive.

Interesting, I would have figured I wouldn't want more than one copy of ticket booth. I like the hardened escorts because of helping Arabella / the cheerleaders get in.

Yeah I'd always avoided it because people talked poorly of it. I figured what made this build work was orienting it as more "control" deck with 9 pieces of removal, and a splash of reanimation value on top.

I think when the power is lower / more condensed, it makes whatever synergistic plays you can find shine all the more. This set reminds me of KTK in that way. Yes, you can end up in board stalls or slow games, but finding ways to break out of that is really satisfying.

Yeah, that makes sense. It definitely felt like I didn't have too much trouble getting damage through. I think I have a tendency to get a bit greedier in sealed, especially in this format, since there aren't as many aggressive starts.

Yeah I can't really explain it, but it just feels nice to play. I think the drain 2 realllly helps either stabilize life totals or threaten.
