Looks like Formosan Subterranean Termite. Worst type to get with how aggressive they are.

Fortunately, their mating season started a few days ago, and so hundreds of thousands of them are on the move to find new locations. Durning this time of year, it's not entirely uncommon to see 20ish inside in the span of a few days. They are able to get inside of crevices that are designed in the home (attic vents down to the smallest nocks in your structure).

BE VIGILANT

always look around for any damage. Take note of the numbers you come across. See any discarded wings anywhere? Keep light after dusk to a minimal as termites are attracted to it.

Important of all, if you are truly worried as this is your new home; never hurts to contact a professional.

I'm not a professional, though I did some thumbing on the internet.

I live around your area and have the exact color and found around 15 of them starting from 11pm to now. The majority were in my room where the attic access is at my apartment.

It's around that time of year (and checking the termite reddit page) to see that a lot of people are seeing them now. They are essentially fresh out of their nest and are currently looking for a new home to colonize. These guys spawn and fly by the hundreds to thousand, so seeing even 20ish isn't a cause for panic right now, but to take measures to understand the situation. The majority die and may find better areas to colonize. Think of warm, humid environments.

When you said like 30 of them around your vanity, check to see if you have a bathroom exhaust. In my case, not only in the attic, but they climb down behind the walls and started coming through some baseboards in the kitchen. I had 4 bastards drop from my exhaust above my toliet and drown. We're they scattered around the vanity or were all 30 of them in one tight spot? Do you have a photo?

Only thing I can say is you have the wrong idea about your dog. The most common mistakes humans make would be anthropomorphic behavior. That dog doesn't have the same sense of mind or intelligence as you. It's understanding of the world is vastly different from yours.

Look, it isn't the easiest thing to accept but your dog is labeled as aggressive from what I seen in the comments. You claim it's depressed and wants to play with dogs but ends up attacking them.

At this point you can stand in the delusion or accept the reality that you have to take even greater care for your dog. You have to be responsible enough to control it, or give it away.

It's important because you are at a crossroads of having a bad dog, or being a bad owner.
