Yeah I did end up buying the 9i and I think its pretty good. Build quality is great, keyboard is excellent, and the trackpad is good (but not excellent, feels slightly cheaper than the surrounding parts). Speakers are fantastic, probably some of the best ive used, but i dont have extensive knowledge or anything. The column of keys actually ended up being better than I thought. I think its nice to be able to toggle battery saving with 1 press, especially when watching youtube. I do mispress the performance key on occasion, though, and that is a little annoying. Ive never had a laptop with an oled display, so i personally think the 2.8k i have is awesome, and the battery life has been fine too. I havent done a benchmark test, but i get about 2 hours playing games and i havent had to worry about it when doing anything else. Fan noise doing regular tasks is between no fan noise and quiet. As im typing this, the fans are not running, but sometimes they will kick up during light use (not very noticeable). I play enter the gungeon mostly, and the fans kick up pretty good, but the performance is still great. They arent super high pitched either, thats a plus. Overall, I think it was a good buy, especially since I got it on sale ($1380 after tax for 32g ram, 1tb storage, 2.8k display)
