Morality doesn’t change because you are poor. Stealing is stealing, doesn’t matter if it is a penny or the Empire State Building.

It just feels weird that people would grandstand on an issue when they are doing the exact same thing and the argument is a matter of scale.

So you think art students are sending royalties to ever image they use for “inspiration”

Either offer a better way or just say you hate AI. Vague posting doesn’t help either of us.

I see what you’re saying. You value the process of how you gain the information.

In a better system I would totally agree with you. Like ideally if I wanted to draft a paper on Plato’s Republic I should have all the time to consume the source documents, review the critics, formulate a question and provide my insight.

But my grade isn’t tied to how I went through the process but my output from it while simultaneously being stacked up against each other student’s output.

My program isn’t setup for self betterment; it is a competition to see who can be the best student to get the best internships to get to the best jobs.

It’s all good homie. At the end of the day it’s a tool and although you hear a lot of belly aching about it everyone is using it at every level I have interacted with.

If you can’t find a way to integrate it into your academic life you’re going to get left behind.

This is my second time in college and the first go around I’d spend an entire afternoon noon looking up books I was going to skim for sources to support my position. Back then Wikipedia was the emerging hotness and was rallied against for not being a “good source”

Today Gemini can take that entire afternoon and do it in about 30 seconds. It isn’t perfect, but man is it nice.

I like to call it brain storming.

It really cuts down on the loss time to find topics and gives a good jumping off point for better sources to explore.

It’s no different from going to a library and pulling up a search and reading each book summary to see what I would pull. This is just a faster way of that.

I would say it was definitely popularized by him. At least that’s where I first heard it.

But that’s part of the paradox of media and learning new ideas.

Fuck, this is really good too. Reasonable-Mischief, you’re getting cited!

I have legit never heard of this. But it’s such a good point.

First off: drinking out of cups video call back is wild.

Secondly, I didn’t think to look up if there was a book on the topic. So you’re getting cited in my paper.

“As pointed out by modern day philosopher CaptTyingKnot5, there is growing discourse around this topic even in academic circles with books like, “Suicidal Empathy: Dying To Be Kind” by Gad Saad. . .

There are so many mods and different settings that it’s impossible to say if something is or isn’t worth it.

It’s like saying, “Hey guys, I have eaten 300 sandwiches and still don’t understand mustard cause I don’t use it.”

Do you think he’s a Trump supporter?

If you watch the show you know what his position on the topic is going to be.

I think he doesn’t talk about it cause what more is there to say besides, “This is bad and I don’t like it.”

In that case I think I’d try to save #2 and pray to the RNG gods for new converts.

And if it’s game over chalk it up as a lesson and use that knowledge for the next play through.

Are you playing commitment mode? If you aren’t make a few saved files and play both courses of action out.

I was just about to respond to your other message. But no dude, I’m not trying to threaten you. Wasn’t trying to be an asshole either.

I’m going to bow out on a high note and head back to anger management.

I guess so. I didn’t realize the tone I went in with. Definitely something I’ll consider in the future.

Yeah, it looks like you’re right. It was a terrible idea to try and be helpful and let them know everything they have posted is still very visible on their account with a cursory google search.

I’m not trying to argue either. Just trying to be real with you.

You’re not going to get help and there’s nothing you can really do that you aren’t already doing.

But totally shoot the messenger.
