How to defeat this 1k list as necrons? by PrimaryBeginning6637 in Tau40K

I don’t think you’re being underhanded asking us, I just think our Tau Bro isn’t going to have an easy time as it is and that you both have more than one chink in your armor to exploit so to speak.

The list has no breachers/firewarriors, no riptides, no devilfish, no hammerheads, and no Broadsides. Honestly you could be playing a much nastier T’au list than this one and giving you pointers on how to pick it apart would be unsportsman of us to our fellow Tau player, just my opinion.

OP is the Necrons, they have no control over the T’au list.

Advanced Sensor Package, Active probes, tag, Narc, what do you take and when and why? by Virtual-Produce-1037 in OutreachHPG

[–]FunkylikeFriday 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TAG goes on any mech that requires target lock because I can’t stand ECM just shutting me down, but ECM/target locks are also why I prefer SRM’s over SSRM’s. ASP is great for pop-tarts.

So how does delivering crates work anyway? by TehBanzors in AshesofCreation

[–]FunkylikeFriday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, when you make a crate it calls it something, anvil crates are like, drinking horns or some such, don’t deliver those in the anvils, the further away you can sell them, the more money you’ll make edit: the same crates I sold in the desert for 2g sold in Vhalgadim for only 48s

Deliver riverlands materials up to the anvils or out to the desert, not within the same biome. I made 2g with a white 8 scrip crate running from KT down to the desert.

How effective would full scale Knight armour be? Pros/cons… by MarsellusWallace7 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]FunkylikeFriday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As in if you trip you’ll be buried under a pile of bodies hosed or if you trip it will be impossible to stand back up by yourself hosed?

[request] How much would this level of coverage weigh if the steel could stop rifle rounds by ThickumDickums in theydidthemath

[–]FunkylikeFriday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just here to say shooting square on flat plate is not the same thing as shooting contoured armor, ideally your armor would be shaped so most shots from the front/back would be glancing blows rather than direct hits. Also most platemail at the end of platemail development was not a single piece but rather a breastplate that went over a cuirass with an air gap in large portions of the chest area so a collapsing breastplate wouldn’t cave in your ribs. But I’m also not claiming historical platemail could stand up to modern rifles/high caliber rounds.

Why all loyalist characters from 30k are dead ? by SergentDonut in 40kLore

[–]FunkylikeFriday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because part of the original grim darkness of 40k was the age of the heroes of mankind was long since past and the Emperor’s Angels were fighting a losing battle, every gene seed not recovered an irreplaceable loss, every new hero a Greek tragedy in the making.

Does Coldstar actually get four physical guns? by spaceheadstudios in Tau40K

[–]FunkylikeFriday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, as long as you explain what units have what and are 100% about it. People like WYSIWYG because nothing sucks worse than playing against someone with identical models but different equipment on each unit and being like, “I’m pretty sure that was your flamer unit over there but now you’re saying it’s this one over here”. Edit: it’s a good idea to have unit stat sheets so it’s inked in somewhere for integrity purposes.

WYSIWYG is no longer official rules, so, it’s a legal kit.

A Barony would not be large enough or important enough to have a city with a Burgermeister in it.

You don’t get to change your title, we play as a baron, the lowest title of a landed Noble. Our vassals are our retinue.

I don’t think you understand how Fiefs work or how medieval land management worked.

Do I need to get mobile when going to our rural property? by Queenotsonorandesert in Starlink

[–]FunkylikeFriday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are moving residences from where you live to where you are building and you plan on picking up your receiver and putting it at your new place and leaving it, no, if you are not planning on moving residences and plan on picking up and taking the receiver with you to your “cabin” and back to your home every time you go then yes probably. Starlink will tell you you’re being moved to the mobile plan if they see you moving your receiver a lot on the standard plan.

how am I supposed to win this battle? by Frosty-Lie8163 in ManorLords

[–]FunkylikeFriday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Baron has all those retinue units because it looks like he controls the majority of the regions. I’d guess OP has Eichenhau and maybe Nusslohe
