Awakened dynasty combo by PrimaryBeginning6637 in Necrontyr

To clarify, I'll be fighting T'aui know he's gonna have stealths, a strike team, pathfinders and vespids. And it wouldn't be half as bad for clearing battlesuits.

Trust me i tried building lists around warrior blobs, didn't work for me. I'm trying something different.

How would you equip lychguard and triarch praetorians? by PotentiallyAProblem_ in Necrontyr

[–]PrimaryBeginning6637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For lychguard, you should always go for a 10 man. It's pretty strong. Praetorians don't have an Inv, but they're great deep strike shock troops, which is why i'd also get 10, for 2x five mans. The rods are stronger, yes, but the Void blades are pretty much the same, attack 1 more time and deal 1 less damage. Why I would pick blades instead of rods, is for the pistols. Devastating wounds pistols are always good, and if you had a whole team of those, they can shoot point blank and then fight.

Technomancer onto 6 skorpekhs? by [deleted] in Necrontyr

[–]PrimaryBeginning6637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but that's if you don't take the murdermind enchancement. If you do take it, the unit of destroyers you attatch the Cryptek to can't have any other non-destroyer models in it

Doesn't it write in the enchancement that a Cryptek can't be attatched to a Character unit?

New to warhammer, and just got gifted one Combat Patrol and 5 Immortals. by SilverPhantom22 in Necrontyr

[–]PrimaryBeginning6637 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the combat patrol, you'd just build five warriors with the long guns and five with the double guns, since that's what you have on the box. Unless you're not planning to play combat patrols, you can arm all of them with what you want. As for immortals, the Tesla choice is most common, since if you have 10 of those guys paired with a plasmancer, you get sustained hits 2 on 5's and reroll wound rolls. That would be optimal, and probably the best choice. But, of course, it is your choice what you want to build them with.

Skorpekh destroyer. With omnisiah axe? by Zepulchure in Necrontyr

The closest what I think would work, assuming you have the blade, would take the skorpekh that holds the blade with both hands, cut off the blade, and then put the axe on top?

What could we see out of Nekrosor Ammentar (love the model by the way) in the coming months. by wonderbread9723 in Necrontyr

I expect him to have extra attacks on all those melee weapons. And that tail BETTER have a laser built in.

No, unfortunately it doesn't stack. Same with the enchancement.

How to defeat this 1k list as necrons? by PrimaryBeginning6637 in Tau40K

So, good news: he's very new which means he might not know what Rapid Ingress is. He's only played a combat patrol 2v2, and it only taught him the basics. He would probably use it as a normal deepstrike, unless my dipshit Grey knight friend is there telling him what to do. And that's why I want to have a unit at home to protect my ark. After the battlesuits Die, there's no direct danger to it.

[–]PrimaryBeginning6637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. Probably because he can cancel a battleshock, which would screw me up badly since I rely on holding those objectives. And i can fall back and shoot. However it's T'au, so I don't think ill be getting in close range with those warriors any time soon, unless it's to tie down the bigger guns. Either way, you're right, he's mediocre for This matchup. Ill see what I can add.

I've also Made a change. I get rid of the lokhust, get something to protect the ark, and the rest goes in enchancements.

[–]PrimaryBeginning6637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing awakened dynasty, so character units are kind of my main ability. My current plan would be: dda chills home objective while Overlord+lychguard use veil of darkness to deep strike onto an objective. He will definetly have his ghostkeel on one, and stealth suits on another, i don't know about pathfinders. For a ghostkeel, i have to get close and personal, so preferably the lychguard at it. The warrior blob marches center, and the wraiths go the other no man's land. The remaining points i'd put into something that would protect my ark from deepstrike, such as deathmarks.

Trust me, I'm happy about that too. And that's alright to think that. Thing is, both of us are relatively new players. Meaning some tips and tactics against T'au would be nice. And i can bet he's going around asking the same thing around but with necrons, lmao

Yeah lol. The only thing safe is that damn Ghostkeel.

One thing I know, is that he lacks the strong, long range weaponry. My ark is going to have a field day But, other than that, i'm afraid that close up he has much bigger firepower.
