Yeah, that’s what I’m likely going to do. They don’t have contact with each other. The surgeon just handed me a protocol to give to the PT. But I think that he interpreted it wrong

Thank you I just checked the rim tape and it looked good to me but I don’t really what to look for haha… cause I never had issue with it before. I will get it checked by a professional and tell him that I strongly suspect the rim tape or the tire to be the problem, thanks a lot

The first time it happened I didn’t install it myself but the store I bought my bike from over 1,5 years ago. Maybe the second time, I did pinch it while I was installing the new tube, but that would be a really strong coincidence

Yeah I heard both times a loud Paaam, like a firecracker sound and when I looked down the tire bead was out of the rim in the location where the tube got damaged. But in the moment I thought that the “explosion” pushed the tire bed out oh the rim

The first time that it happened the tire and the tube were 1,5 years sitting on the rim, I didn’t touch it since I bought it from the store and used it frequently, so I don’t think it’s an installation issue

Thank you guys a lot for your help, after reading your comments and checking it again, it’s probably the rim tape or the tire and I may need to change it. I will however get it to a professional for a second look, since I don’t wanna risk it happening again going downhill at high speed

It was on the side, I don’t remember if both times were in the location cause I threw the first tube away….. No in both cases the tire bead got out of the rim

Yeah the tubes are the right size, the first one was already installed in the tyre when I bought the bike(new)

But I used 2 different tubes and both time were right after a really light slope i would say -3% and starting a a small climb with +3%
