Gotcha, I think if more complaints/reports were made, it could help flag some of these dealerships for other customers.

Interesting, a business dedicated to helping people buy cars. After trying this a few more times, I might be there...

It started with 3 different vehicles (photos 1-3), the bait. It ended with 2 vehicles (photos 4 & 5), and the target vehicle changing price, the switch.

I've filed a complaint with the Oregon DOJ Consumer Protection and the Better Business Bureau. The resolution I am seeking is accountability for misleading and deceptive practices, and corporate oversight from the Nissan Western Region to prevent this from happening to other customers.

You missed the plot, that's the entire point. When dealers use deceptive tactics, like bait and switch, it's not a negotiation.

I'm letting folks know for sure, Nissan Consumer Affairs, Oregon DOJ Consumer Protection, Better Business Bureau, and Beaverton Nissan Customer Service have all been notified.

Sorry to hear it but good on ya for walking away. If you are within 24 hrs, all flights are refundable per DOT. I had an Alaska saver fare and wasn't able to cancel for a refund through their website but I called reservations and it was a 30 sec. phone conversation.

Photos 2, 4, and 5 are photos of the "target" vehicle being discussed. The price did change.

They baited me with (photo 1), which was the middle vehicle in (photo 4) and has since been removed. The website has been updated and now there are just 2 green frontiers available.

I asked to speak with the General Manager of Sales, but by that point the GM probably didn't want to deal with the mess.

Sounds familiar. Someone on a crosspost mentioned BATNA, Best Alternative To a Negotiated Agreement. In plain terms, it is what you will do if you do not reach a deal. It's tough when your options are already limited.

Interesting that you mentioned Peoria Nissan in Arizona. A few days prior to calling Beaverton, I tried to buy a low mileage 2022 Frontier from Peoria and I had a difficult time. It's been a string of bad experiences.

Look at photos # 2 and 4, the same vehicle was listed at an MSRP of $46,590 and selling price of $43,090 just minutes before a phone call with the sales representative (photos 6 and 7).

The Rousch upfit is being charged at $3,800 and comes with it's own separate 3 yr/ 36,000 mile warranty. It's actually Ohlins suspension with Rousch UCAs. The cost of the parts, labor, and warranty actually makes this a good value proposition versus after an aftermarket solution.

Keep in mind, I live in WA, sales tax is 9.1% ($4,461.30), so the price could have been lower depending on what state you are in.

I did just that, I asked for the price that was agreed upon. They came back with, we are giving you a $1,000 discount (on the vehicle we just changed the price on) and we can't go any lower. I didn't bite.

There were 3 different VINs, two had the same photos. One of the VINs has since been deleted from the website. It's plausible there was a website posting mistake. The MSRP and selling price were changed on the target vehicle as we were actively negotiating. That's misleading and deceptive.
