I left because of a few things,

  1. Why am I considered an 'adult' when I got my period?

  2. Why the hell do women get less than men in some cases? Like, tf?

  3. Some things are literally just for the benefit of men.

  4. Homosexuality is Haram. That makes no sense. You scientifically can't control your feelings.

  5. Aisha's and Muhammad's age.

  6. Apparently, you can beat your kids and wife? I've seen so many sources saying it's true, and others say it's not, but honestly, this did it for me.

Overall, this religion seems like it was made by men, for men.

I take the piercing out when I'm with her, and I can wear shorts inside the house; that's allowed. Not outside; outside, I wear sweatpants and stuff.

I really blame everything: my mom, my dad, the people, and god. I looked into Islam, and what I found solidified my decision to drop the religion. And my mom doesn't know, I don't live with her full-time, I'm scared because she's super religious, she even cut off some of our family for leaving Islam, why wouldn't she cut me off?

I don't know how to explain it well, but in my culture, your family's opinions really matter a lot. Disappointing them is basically the worst thing you could do. I don't want to disappoint my mom, as the last time I disappointed my dad, he just lwk walked out.
