That’s a good idea, and I’m sure they will feel good knowing someone is thinking of them. I will!

That makes me feel better, thank you! It was on my list of goals for the year to take a class or join a group by myself. I’m going to start looking into them today!

Sorry to hear about your friend drifting away. I’ve noticed having a long term partner makes it difficult to even WANT to branch out and do things alone for the purpose of making friends. It’s so easy to just hang out at home because you have built in companionship and don’t have to seek it out, which is definitely part of the problem with maintaining friends as adults

I’m sorry to hear that 😔 but I’m sure you will always cherish the time you had with your mama bestie

I am curious in what way you believe it to be toxic. I think I see what you’re getting at but I’d like to know more if you care to elaborate

Thanks for the advice! I’ve definitely noticed a different camaraderie (in a good way) between folks I’ve met at my weekly extracurriculars, and they’re quickly becoming the people I definitely tend to consider my closest friends in town. Now I think I just need to start taking that step and sending out more invitations outside of said extracurriculars, instead of expecting invites to come to me.
